I got great shots for the most part, but there were times where I thought autofocus was hunting a bit more than it should. Almost like it couldn't figure out that it was way out of focus and needed to really throw itself. I ended up a few times just manually turning the focus ring to get it close and then started over. I think it might have been the 1.4x extender, though.
