Complex traffic and alerts triggering Tesla doesn't want the embarrassment of crashing their with FSD

Re: Slow Teslas everywhere: 24 hours into ‘the FSD button’, what is your Safety Score (Beta)?

I'd argue this is less about the driver and more about the area the driver is in. Higher scores means easier driving for the FSD without adding to the media reports of Tesla's crashing..

Re: Op-Ed | Why I’m Leaving Neiman Marcus

Transforming retail without customers wanting to be in the store to begin with is challenging.

It's been 4 years since NM piloted smart mirrors. $5 billion in debt, 8 consecutive quarters of declining sales, and multiple store closings since that time. Hard to bet on innovations when you're struggling to stay alive.

I can appreciate the difficulties in driving innovation internally, but I wonder how much internal employees fed the innovation at NM. It feels more like Scott went out and saw some new shiny toys at NRF and delivered them.

The IOT communication devices are awesome, and the same used at the Container Store, Cabela's, and some restaurants. Any KPI or metrics on how customers benefited to keep them in store vs online?

The smartphone charging stations you could drive business from the chargeitspot app. The same charging stations available in some Target and Marshall stores. Is that the target market for NM customers?

It's hard driving innovation in traditional brick and mortar companies. This article was forwarded by someone likely thinking I could relate, but it more reinforces the reason I've stayed with the company I'm at. We're learning our way through, bad decisions with good. External 'experts' and solutions lack the understanding of our company, and our industry. They'll often get the ear of leadership and we get to 'pilot' a project. Our most successful innovations have always been initiated internally.

Find ways to harvest your existing employees ideas.. NOT with an idea box or through the bozone layer of middle managers. Your most valuable creativity already exists in those employees and your customers. That's the only way any of us survive this new economy..

Re: Why oil is more likely to test $50 than $100 again next year

Fracking isn't sustainable at $50/barrel.. slows down or stops US fracking production. Speedy Claxton. Mills could get a pay day, or continue the dynasty alongside Leonard for years to come.

Re: Amazon Cloud Player coming soon to Roku

This would be very nice .. any updates?

Re: The Life of a Salesman

As a salesperson, of sorts, I'm kind of offended, sales people are professionals, and go to work, they drive success.

Pandora et al are the pimple-faced clerk waiting at the register, the pimp letting you do the work.

On the other hand, as a web developer I can appreciate where you're coming from. Any/all publicity is good publicity.

Re: Playing Rap to a Country Crowd

I've (i was going to say 'Stumbled' across your page, but I guess I followed Tweets to your show... something)... anyhow.

I was reading some of your blog posts, seeing how the recording cut-off before the song you were going to explain your transition from Christian Music to Piano Rock.

Had to comment here - I live in San Antonio, TX and had the opportunity to get drunk in a 'country bar'. The juke-box of today is an amazing thing, because if it doesn't have the song it'll download it for you. Anyhow, the alcohol decided it might be funny to play some KRS-ONE, yes 'SEX & VIOLENCE' album, 'THE REAL HOLY PLACE'. Let's just say that's not a song to play around racist rednecks, I almost learned to fly backwards that night, but the 'Country Crowd' had the juke-box unplugged in a matter of moments and the KRS-ONE vanished. Good Times - sponsored by Jack Daniels.
