This is a fantastic article. I have mixed feelings regarding the issue, though. I also had to get in touch with @DeltaAssist twice over the holidays. They were great when checking my flight status, but not so great when I asked how to find a bag that may have been left in one of their TERMINALS. Note: not a checked bag, but a piece of carry on luggage. Of course, they referred me to the lost & found system on the delta website. For checked luggage. And then asked me to DM my baggage claim number. I have a feeling they only have one person responding to @DeltaAssist inquiries at a time, which probably cripples their ability to provide adequate assistance. I also feel like their twitter account thinks that the Wheel of Fortune generation is their twitter audience and provides responses that would satisfy someone who didn't know how to use the internet.

i fully agree with your statement that "it is clear that Delta’s focus is on muting negative noise rather than properly addressing their missteps."

let us know when your wife's bag finally shows up! i'd be curious to know exactly how long it took them to find something that shouldn't have been lost for longer than a day.

Honestly I'm not impressed with RockMelt. I thought Flock was the bees knees, but it was also kind of a strain on my system. But RockMelt doesn't even come CLOSE to Flock in terms of awesomeness.

Thanks for the link - it's weird, because while the option is still greyed out, the Places part of the app is now fully functional.

I bet you anything it's a verizon thing - i'm having the same problem and i also have verizon. a couple years back, google maps wouldn't work on my phone, either. no location based services worked, and it wasn't cause of any location settings being turned off. any news from verizon on this?
