SWEET!!! But I agree theres deffinitely countless other mangas out there worth getting. I for one am really looking forward to a Shamo or Gantz giveaway or now that you've posted batttle royale it'd be awesome to see a giveaway of BR but its too soon for anything like that i suppose,people must first read and witness its awesome power.

Wow fusion, you had a bit of a fit there o.o I dont blame you, I probably would giiven him a piece of mind too, plus it lets peopleknow yoou're not afraid to take it up to TV-MA iif the situation calls for it. And he did seem abnoxious, annoying retarded but most of all narrowminded, obviously he hasnt read all the comments people have been leaving for berserk. I mean narutos ok but its shonen, i see it as a ninja dragonball wannabe, still entertaining though. But in truth naruto's really overrated in my opinio9n, its good but not THAT good, I think Naruto has TOO much recognition for what it is. Yet ironically Berserk is so much better and I know so many people out here that have never even heard of it, i think its cause Naruto has the whole gazillion anime episodes that they put all over now where as berserk just has the 26 episodes, I wish theyd at least put it on adult swim once or twice a week.

Well, I completely and entirely disagree with this guys review of gantz, sure the story may seem like its heading nowhere but its not even finished yet, some of the best stories have deep elaborate plots that are only revealed until near the end of the story.
And I think thats the case with Gantz, especially after all the rules started changing and they showed the Gantz factory.
As for the characters being so flawed I think its a good thing, adds some realism to the situation and if you paid enough attention you could notice how some of these characters channge and grow throughout the story and the missions they're forced to go on. I mean look at Kurono he was deuche at first, selfish and self-centered but now he's your ideal hero, always thinking about the rest and quick to think on his feet. Look at Reika she loves Kurono but at least at first she just wanted him to be happy so she revived tae-chan for him now she's getting tired of having to stand on the sidelines watching him and not having him so she decided to revive him again for her own desires.
And as for people constantly dying I think thats also a good thing from a certain point of view that it tells you that anything is bound to happen. Mangas and anime get dull and boring when you know the main characters always going to win or survive. In this manga thats not a certainty anymore, I mean when you read a manga where the main character dies thats basically telling you that the breaks are off and everything is possible, it keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering 'whats going to happen? whos gonna make it? whos gonna die? oh crap he lost his leg but hes still alive he just needs to make it through.'
It adds a certain flare of drama and intensity when everything is possible and the author proves it you know.
And as for the long battles, well lets face it, if this manga focused more on the daily lives of the characters rather then there time in the missions, this manga would really suck, its the missions that the mangas about not their lives outside of the game, thats why the contestants are so expendable, because the story's not really about them, it's about gantz, its purpose for existing, why its there, why does it send them on these missions, where did the aliens come from, thats what the mangas about, i mean the title of the manga is Gantz, its NAMED after the sphere. So obviously you gotta juice the missions for all the action, excitement and intensity you can get.Besides thats where the characters grow, learn and change you know. During the missions you get to see who they really are. What they're really made of so obviously the authors going to put an insane amount of attention of the battle scenes.

hey fusion i noticed theres like an 18 page difference between the numbers of the counter and the numbers on the pages of the scans, normally i pay no attention to it when its just 2 or 3 pages cause im guessing its just the ads and the art from the chapter portraits or something but when its 18 pages i gotta ask, is that normal?

i didnt know fist of the northstar had a manga i saw part of the anime and quickly became bored because everything was always too easy for the character, there was never any danger or risk to what he was doing and the fights he had, kind of the reason why i got tired with hellsing, but at least hellsing had its moment where it seemed Alucard or Victoria might have been over their head. Is the manga any different or do they still turn the character into a martial arts god?

Seinen? Vikings? Violence worthy of Berserk comparison?
Sounds like a must-read, not many mangas with vikings around either, well I for one am deffinitely interested in taking a look at this series myself.

Edit- I went to take a look a vinland saga myself and at least from what I read it's preatty freaking awesome, I personally wouldnt compare it with Berserk in the violence and gore department just yet but as for art its deffinitely worthy of getting a place on my top five spots ranking manga art.

Ive been reading battle royale non-stop, its freaking awesome but I hate how they get you to grow so fond of a character some times just so they can kill him. It happenedwith kurono and kato in gantz, it happened with the angelina jolie look-alike girl at the beginning of the series too, the one that did it with kurono before the mission started, i rlly liked that chik, they did it with judeau too in berserk, Jiraiya in naruto as well. And now im reading BR and i cant get past how awesome and bad-ass mimura is, i mean the guys a genius, smart, quick thinker, friendly and just so awesome he's almost too perfect >.< and yet i cant help but get this feeling in the pit of my stomach that hes gonna die >.< hes just so freaken awesome, if only there were more people in the world like him seriously

Over the years of manga reading, comicbooks, video games and movies I have seen red and fought against some really fucked up villains and for the longest time I thought to myself that Griffith was by far the most cold-hearted darkest villain, that was until I read battle royale. The hatred that ive developed for Kiriyama is so deep, profound and large that sometimes I just dont want to read anymore.
We're talking about a guy whos work was basically halfway done from the beginning, they gave him a FUCKING UZI!! Come on, while other,more challenged students got absurd weapons like a fork or a boomerang and freaking DARTS, who the fuck uses DARTS to kill people?! But no this guy gets a fucking UZI and not only that but almost every single kill hes gotten has been by sneaking up on his target and shooting them in the fucking back, I mean FUCK even Mitsuko's done better then that, she worked her way up from a fucking sickle, sure she did it by lying, deceiving and seducing her way through most of the game but that requires a certain amount of skill and willpower, this fucker just comes up from behind, aims and pulls the fucking trigger the weapon pretty much does the rest for most of his skills i mean fuck he doesnt even have to aim that well, the automatic spray fire of the UZI does all the work, I mean if we were talking about targets that were tough to kill like Kawada and maybe even Mimura or Sugimura but no, even scared, deffenseless frightened targets, you have to hit an all time low to do something like that, thats not skill, not to me, thats not only being a coward its taking the easy way out, Im gonna enjoy watching this fucker get killed, even if its Mitsuko or Noriko who end up killing him.

HEEEELLLLSSS NOOOO dude, in my opinion Berserk still has a long way to go, if my sources are accurate Kentaro Miura has a 100 volume story of Berserk already written it just hasnt been illustrated, which when you think about it, it kind of sounds about right since Guts is after ALL of the Godhand which means he and Skull Knight and the rest of the gang are gonna be taking it up agains Void, Slan, Femto and the rest of the Godhand AND theres also all the apostles to take into consideration. Guts has still to arrive to that island inhabited by elves to see if the elf king or whatever can help Casca, we've yet to learn the full origin of Skull Knight as well so you better be in it for the long haul buddy.

Thanks for understanding my point of view from Battle Royale but all in all it was a good ending despite the fact that I would have liked seeing Mimura blow up the school and from some kind of coup de' tat or however its spelled, I also would have enjoyed seeing Mitsuko get gangbanged AGAINST her own will before getting killed, not just because its good eye candy but I just cant help but enjoy seeing karma come back to bite people in the nuts or in this case her snatch XD but it was fun watching Kiriyama turn her down like some bony, hideous STD infected hooker XD what if Yuichiro knocked her up O_O XD KILL FROM THE GRAVE (halo 3 announcer voice) that woulda been price less

As for Gantz I understand what you're saying but to a certain degree you have to look at it from Kuronos point of view I mean thats how you KNOW Kurono is IN love with Tae, turning down the hottest asian in history for his girl but I do envy him, if I were Kurono #2 Id have my fun denying Reika any form of sexual contact to the point where the idea of rape starts to tempt Reika XD women raping men is always fun just look at Mitsukos scene with Yuichiro lol, I was surprised to see Kurono #1 tookthe encounter with his clone so lightly, I guess its because he still gets to stay with Tae and as far as they're concerned the game is over.

I cant help but feel like Kurono #2 is like a darker version since hes all cranky and pissy about being a copy and not getting to keep Tae and brutally honest too, whenever I see him with Reika it just seems to me that Reikas basically his bitch cause not only is she like drooling and desperate to be with him but she bought her way a one way ticket into Kuronos black list meaning she has to find a way to make up for what she did so basically Kurono owns her as far as Im concerned
