The community's uptake of React has really only accelerated in the past 12 months. Who is to say that React really is going to be the best option in another 12 months' time? Will we find ourselves reading articles about how the MDG needs to abandon React for something newer and sexier?

We as developers tend to always want our platforms to be cutting edge, often to the detriment of stability and proven codebases. To adopt React right now is to condemn yourself to constantly rewriting your code to stay current to an ever evolving spec.

Meteor is a unique position because its full stack nature is both a positive and a negative. You can either prescribe the whole stack and people will criticise you for your lack of flexibility and poor future proofing, or you can attempt to decouple your layers and lose many of the benefits that full stack has to offer in the first place. I have no idea what the correct answer is, but I hope the MDG is strong enough in will to make a decision and stick with it.

Re: The State Of Meteor Part 2: What Happens Next

I suppose that's fair, but it's very hard to predict the state of the industry in 12 months time. 24-36 months ago it would have seemed perfectly reasonable to fully embrace Angular and never get too far into Blaze at all. Look how that turned out.

Re: Desserts | Romanian Cream Cake Recipe | Recipe4Living

yum, we had this when we were in slovenia too.
