You'er right about that Rafael. I did also wonder why there is not as much collaboration in Europe, and now you have hit the nail on the head so to speak. Its a good observation. I never thought about it before. I have no idea what the solution is, maybe we should all speak in C++, lol ;-)

Hi Oo,

Interesting post. I must say i laughed at the comment about the weather. not sure how that REALLY affects us ;-)

I've been on and off in the startup space since 2001. Based on my own personal experience, i would say the greater problem is that the UK as a whole doesnt have the same level of belief and passion for startups as its US counterpart.

If you notice, there are many events, and initiatives all around the UK for small businesses, which this country as a whole does believe in, institutionally and therefore the initiatives are there, but this isnt the same for startups.

Hopefully, this will change now, as the startup scene is even changing across the European mainland.

With great startups like TruPhone and Tweetdeck already setting a great example, both UK based, its just a matter of time before the powers that be realise, that this is where they should be focusing their attention.

Actually, interestingly enough. I just met another viewer of yours that happens to live in the same city as me. We met yesterday and decided to have a weekly brainstorming session. Got off to a good start last night. I think thats all i needed, because he understands my situation and i understand his.

It would be awesome if Mixergy had some sort of basic platform that allowed people in the same geographical location to connect with each other.

I've tried doing it online, and while it can and does work, being able to connect with people offline is also good because it gets you away from the computer and out of your immediate environment, which can be good for renewal in my personal opinion.

Just a suggestion. ;-)

Very inspiring. I would love to learn more about how to meet other entrepreneurs in my local area. I have found that to be a REAL challenge. Im surrounded by people that just dont "get it".

Its a struggle and a lonely path to rise above mediocrity.

Also, loved the way you had yourself in a larger picture now. Its more engaging.

We developed our own in house. I wanted to be able to track the complete actions of the individual visitor to the site. Now i can track all the actions per IP, and especially if i issue a tracker, it gives me some very good data to work with. The data has been extremely valuable and helpful.

Thanks for getting back to me. Glad you enjoyed your holiday. Since i posted the comment, i decided to host the videos on my own server and creating my own very basic player, which seems to be doing the trick for now.

Tell me. When you go down the EZS3 route, do you get analytics on your videos? Like how many times its been played etc etc?

Anyhow. I have to start offering paid videos soon. Do you know if using EZS3 i could sell paid videos? To be honest im going to give an MP4 as the download, so im thinking if i can find a shopping cart that allows me to send download links from a server once payment has been made, that should more than do the trick.

My introductory videos are all free anyhow.
