The largest limiting factors of electric vehicles in the past has been range,the majority of hybrid electrics before the volt used a electric motor in conjunction with a gas engine to determine how much of each was delivered to the wheels.plug in series-hybrids i.e:the volt, include gas generators to recharge the batteries in transit while also allowing you to recharge it from home
p.i.h.e.v's may also help contribute to storage on the grid and provide a ROI to the buyer of a hybrid and a greater ROI on residential solar.
At the moment E.V's are just in their infancy.Emerging technologies including air batteries and supercapacitors will only add to the worth of EV's and their significance in a renewable energy economy

-Direct current motors use commutation to alternate the induction in the windings of a dc motor
-ac can be converted into dc using rectification
-assumptions 3 and 4 are in reverse,
-HVDC will save power according to (ohms law) which states heat losses are proportional to the square of the current.

-Edison invented the AC electric chair, and also used public displays of electricuting live elephants to rally public support for his system.
-during the war of currents, DC transmission wasn't practical.only since the discovery of Semiconductors has HVDC transmission become a possible supplement of Our electrical infrastructure.
-It has been determined SCIENTIFIC FACT that amperage is what's likely to kill you
it doesn't take much amperage to kill either around 1/20th to 3/10th of an amp to kill you
-ohms law will answer your last assumption
