His free-throw shooting is so frustrating because you just know it is all mental right now. It's obvious he has a good enough stroke to convert at the line, but something is going on his head that's causing these misses.

I think it's worth mentioning that Pomeroy currently has BC as the 5th best team in the ACC. The season is still young, and a lot can still happen. But I think it's safe to say they are better than most people expected.

But the mere fact that Hulls is capable of making three's puts pressure on the defense. Just him being on the court will stretch out the defense, whereas the defense can play off of Moore.

I'm a little concerned about VJ3. He seems to be forcing a lot of shots in the paint, and it shows in his shooting: 4-12 against Howard and 6-14 last night. There were plenty of times where he was able to get into the paint and had a man open for three, but he (VJ3) failed to find him and took an ill-advised shot instead. He has proven to be very capable of getting into the paint, but I want to see him start looking for the pass more.

There shouldn't be any rules at all. If a kid wants to go straight out of high school, let him. If he wants to go after 1, 2, or 3 years, let him. A player has every right to try and turn pro as soon as he feels he is ready. If a player is considered a 15-20 pick right out of high school and decides to go to school and develops into a consensus lottery, let him go to the draft. You can't force a kid to play in college when he is clearly ready for the pros.

The reason rules like this work in the NFL and the MLB is because so few prospects are ready out of high school or only one or two years removed from it. Whereas in basketball, there are probably 3-5 prospects every year who are ready out of high school.

If the NBA wants to protect their incoming players then it is on them to provide better counseling to these kids o that they can make a correct decision. It is on them to make the NBDL a more appealing alternative to these kids.

This rule was only ever implemented to protect the NBA and it's players, so it squarely on them to fix it.

I agree with you, but it would be silly to not go after the potential #1 player in the class if he's interested, regardless of position.

I think that's just the nature of the position though. Flaws in the PG are going to stand out more so than any other position because he's constantly handling the ball and guarding the guy with the ball the majority of the time.

Personally, I think VJ3 is our best player, but you just can't expect a freshman to come in and play well on a consistent basis.

Our perimeter defense is just abysmal. Teams are going off on us way too much for it to ever be considered a fluke.

Jones looked very good tonight, and there were plenty of times where I felt he was the best player on the court for either team. Pritchard would be so good if he was just a tad more athletic. He's like Aaron Gray, just not 7'0".

*sigh* We may be able to win this next game at least.
