I'm just curious, how did your father refer to the enemy? I have heard of another name when talking about the enemy, VietCong. Maybe he used this term. Just a thought.
I am truly grateful to your father for serving his country. Being a Navy Seal is a great honor and he is to be commended. If he is still living, tell him that I salute him.

Those negative responses you refer to are the same one's who usually have negative things to say on any subject.

I agree with this comment more so than the earlier one.
I listen to all News Stations. I think I am intelligent enough to discern which is more creditable and then form my own opinions. We cannot know all that goes on in our world today! It would surely make our hair stand on ends. Intelligent Agencies such as the CIA, FBI, all Military Intelligent's are responsible to glean as much info as necessary to insure our countries well-being/safety. Does this info need be to broadcast for our approval or knowledge. I think not!!! Do we need to know how many terrorist attacks are twarted by intelligence gathered, NO!!!
I too believe that Pelosi is lying to save herself (politically). Who could believe that she is not capable of such a thing?
By the way wasn't Bill Moher a (bad) comedian long ago? His show is highly creditable "for sure".

I only have one question for you. WHAT are you talking about?? There was no character assassination on the reporting. This really happened. There are records/witinesses to show justification for letting the citizens know of wrongdoing on Mr. Littles part.

The long and short of it that he is a disgrace period!

Cary Rich's statement seemed to be a fair assessment of Mr. Little's unconcern for those he was elected to serve.
Did you in any way witness anything that has been presented in Mr. Little's lawsuit? Or, do you just have a gut feeling that Mr. Little is justified in suing the Red Star?

Good thing he was unconscious. Lord knows what would have happened if he resisted. Mixed emotions seem to abound on this one, just glad I am not a Police officer. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I suppose the attorney will do all he can to make sure the "victim" gets a (fair) settlement. I think that firing the officers is all the award he should get period!!! The crime he committed will not be an issue, I guarantee that much.

I meant no disrespect to you personally. I am only relaying that which I was told by others who worked there. Some were also in management positions. These friends said that it was very stressful mostly because of the union. One person that I know well told me this one time, "well I guess I'll have to files some grievances to give the bosses something to do." In my opinion "the Boss" probably has enough to do other than fooling with nonsense such as meaningless grievances.
My cousin told me that he actually did about 2 hours work between cards games.
You are also correct to say that all employers have goof-offs, but I wonder what percentages are at the Depot. The first impression last the longest as stated by another writer after the inspection.

Are you sure about those who are employed actually do work?
I have relatives who tell a different story. I have friends who also work there tell a different story. I heard that there are quite a few grievances filed by people who are too lazy and would get fired elsewhere. I would love to have a walk-through just to see for myself.

Surely you aren't saying that white men haven't been discriminated against! Laws have been passed to enforce assurance that those groups you mentioned are given preference in hiring. Most times even qualifications and experience are overlooked in preferential hiring. Care to dispute.

My money is on the same horse as yours, but, I doubt if regret is the correct word. I don't believe he will regret anything. I think a better statement would be 'we will regret electing him as President'. Liberals should rejoice that such a opportunity has arisen. Moderates don't seem to care and Conservatives are gaining support.

NOT CONCERNED, the last paragraph of your comment is in error.
Many times an applicant does not wish any information released in fear of losing his/her present job. This is not uncommon. I feel certain that the successful candidate will be based on references and job histories (LOL). The whole situation will culminate in another all-out war within the city government before this is finalized. Sad but true.

I understand your sentiments. I only ask at what point in the process should the names be released. The law is the law!!! How fast should you go in a 25 MPH zone before you are ticketed?
My concern is in questioning the Star's motives. Is it really to provide much needed information to the public? Or being the "Legal watch-dog" for us?
I still say this is , MUCH TO DO ABOUT NOTHING".
I only hope that we can agree to disagree on the relevance of this subject (at this point).

I ask the same of you, is this really news worthy.
I am sure there are perfectly good reasons the Anniston City government has held this information tight lipped until the finalist are announced.
I also pose this question to all. When should the names of any candidate for any position be announced? How much information should be divulged to the public? Do the candidates have rights? This process, my friends, is more involved than we seem to think.
If we knew who the candidates were, what could we do with the information. The city government would still make the final decision. Much to do about nothing.

I agree. We know where the problem stems but where is the basic roots of the problem. Animal control is very costly to the tax payer, however, some benefits do come from it. Unaccountability in ownership of an animal should be a crime. Poor animals!!!!!! Did you know that cats are considered free-roaming and are not required to be confined. Could spaying or neutering be a possible solution?? Should there be a law requiring it?? Again I say accountability by the owner. Educate the public one way or another.

There is much truth in what you say, but, one very important factor not included is the breakdown of core family values. This has played a big role in the demise of Anniston's schools. It all starts at home. One parent homes is certainly to blame but this in itself is not the sole problem. Blaming teachers and others has been the norm for too long. This has placed a tremendous burden on these groups to ensure that test scores to improve. Parents should offer better guidance at home (ie doing your homework, Johnnie) is a good example) I rate the Board and City Council lower as being the problem.

Please do not speculate or assume anything. I am very much PRO-AMERICAN. I do not prescribe to beliefs that anyone is entitled but must earn any.
I salute you on not receiving assistance simply because of your race but working for your education.
I worked for mine also and this is what made it even m ore valuable to me.
Rodney King's statement were true words of wisdom, "can't we all just get along". I also loved MLK's "I Have A Dream" assessment of what the USA should strive to become. Equal Opportunity does not necessary mean EEO. EEO and Affirmative Action are actually a contradiction of terms.

I've read and re-read your comments. In proclaiming your differences you are self-imposing discrimination. You cry out that you deserve special treatment, WHY?? You say that "some of us refer to ourselves as 'African-Americans'to emphasize your heritage, but to proclaim your differences. You later contradict yourselve by saying "an American and proud of it". Least you forget most American's of all races suffered so reparation is not the answer.

Thanks for finally explaining. No, I do not know of a better way of enforcing voter registration of illegals. Please share your ideas with us. Seems that illegals (all nationalities) have the same constitutional rights that you & I are privileged as U.S. citizens!!! Care to disagree anyone?
