I believe the fact of the matter is that we need to respect the citizens of this country just as much or if not more so than big business. When economic downturns occur its so easy to throw away our freedoms and power to instituitions in the hope that they will take remedy our worries and fears about our families and country as a whole. People need to realize that banks will always have money to loan, and that's because banks like the federal reserve in america 'print' money. It is the smaller banks that find it hard to do business and that is because they are controlled by the bigger banks. The real con that has occurred is getting people to believe that the biggest banks are in trouble and hence there chaos looming. The fact of the matter is that money will always be printed and we need to re-establish our sense of worth so as the right balance between employee and employer is struck and we don't end up begging for jobs in the belief that resources and job places are scarce. If the people of europe wake up and realize we the citizens are a very important element to economic success, then we will not panic and give all the power and respect to big business which will only serve to reduce or power and importance in a fair and just economy where employee and employer are both respected equally

Re: Ireland's Interests Best Served by No Vote – Adams | Sinn Féin

Gerry Adams statement above, is what I believe to be the true underlying issue facing us in our consideration of the Lisbon treaty this time round. The logic and truth is there, the question is whether or not people will see this logic among all the fear and speculation regarding what happens to this country from an economic perspective if we choose to reject the lisbon treaty for a second time. we should vote with our hearts and minds and not with our inflated respect for big business and big banks, let the truth be known

Re: McDonald Challenges Gilmore to Debate on Workers Rights & Lisbon | Sinn Féin

It is a shame that many intelligent people like myself could be easily taken in by the supposed pros for a yes vote which where listed by the labour party in there say yes to lisbon leaflet. If it where not for my independent thinking and light research I would fully put my trust in the labour party's supposed benefits for voting yes to lisbon. People need to realize that it is us the citizens of the country that run the economy and not the banks. Also corporations and big business cannot function without employees, and the danger in the lisbon treaty is creating an imbalance between supply and demand regarding work places in manufacturing and all business activities linked to corporations. Ireland and every other european country need strong local and national forces to protect the citizens rights and aspirations and in fact the lisbon treaty hands the power over to big business its a massive gamble that's my belief, get informed it's so important -:)
