Mitch, why can't marketers use programmatic to increase the personalization of their marketing efforts? I don't see why technology can't help solve the relationship factor as well and provide scale to one to one relationship marketing.

Now, I know most marketers don't use it for that, and that the technology has a way to go until it gets to that point. That said I don't think it is the technologies limitations, but is instead another case of marketers using a technology incorrectly.

Wonder how similar it is going to be to Bill Simpson's new company. http://www.sghelmets.com Lighter and softer is the near future. Internal 3d suspension is the next but the benifits don't overcome the added weight at this point.

Good points David and I agree. Integrated planning and goal setting is just the tip of the iceberg. Companies then need to have plans and goals for each execution as well as you described. The key is their goals and objectives must then ladder back up to the integrated plan. In the next blog post I will go into a little more detail, but maybe I should just repost your response as you hit a lot of the items I have been working on.

Vichka and Greg, more thought in general should have been put into the stages, maybe I'll tweak it later, but love the "Meh" stage. I'm guessing that would be stage 4.
