We should have posted this as our "iPhone App" and not called it "iOS" (iPhone+iPad). We can't wait to get started optimizing this for the iPad, but wanted to launch for the phone first (thus why you don't see iPad screenshots on the App Store).</p><p>Anyhow, we hear you loud and clear, iPad work is coming up shortly, we hope you'll enjoy it on the iPhone for now. We want extremely high resolution imagery and great scrolling performance.</p><p>As the Flipboard engineers recently put it:</p><p>"The DOM is too slow. It’s not just slow, it’s really slow. If you touch the DOM in any way during an animation you’ve already blown through your 16ms frame budget. "</p><p>Could we hack something together, sure. We like the performance of native and access to the entire phone stack.
