The Mariners have made it pretty clear that it will be Rowland-Smith

Re: 10 Must Make Picks in your 2010 NCAA Tournament Bracket

so you got 8 out of ten wrong so far and it could be nine by the end of the week. great insight.

Re: Mariners Spring Training Roster Battles

uh i wouldnt exactly call these picks. you just listed the people in the running. for example, you have four names for a fifth starting pitcher. Congratulations, you told us something everyone already knew, of course its going to be one of those guys. you go through the battles a little but don't really tell us anything. its a twenty five man roster, not thirty plus. thank you for wasting my time.

Re: Gonzaga Scouting Report + A Hypothetical Game against UW

I did the write-up for this game, not the other ones and did not speak at all for the other ones. I love the Zags, I love the Huskies, I've seen both play. Gonzaga is a top 25 team, but they are young. I favor the Huskies in most respects because they are better in most respects. Four months from now it may be a completely different story.

Re: Mariners Acquire Jack Wilson, Ian Snell

the only thing to do is wait 2-3 years and see how the arms do, then we'll
know if this was a good trade or not

Re: Mariners Acquire Jack Wilson, Ian Snell

i like this trade just because of how shitty we were at shortstop. The minor leaguers, they may be good prospects but how many "good prospects" actually end up making the majors? Plus we still have one of the Royal's pitching prospects, who from what i heard was pretty decent, we got in the Betancourt trade. as for clement, with moore in from of him at catcher and shelton AND harp in front of him in the DH or 1B role he is really a nothing to lose because he wouldnt have ever been able to make it back onto our roster. Cedeno just straight up sucks at hitting. I dont know a lot about the pitching guy we got but on KJR one of the guys said he was pretty good and had been lighting up triple A as of late. I give this trade a B, but if we lose Wilson to free agency that immediately makes it go down to a C/C-

Re: Seattle Mariners: Buy, Sell... or Neither?

i missed that memo. it was more to make my point which i think i did but ill
say it again. trade everyone.

Re: Seattle Mariners: Buy, Sell... or Neither?

three days ago i would have believed you. but lets face it, we are done now. We cant catch up to the Angels and the Wild Card is for sure going to an AL East team. that being said, i think there are a handful of guys who we could deal and get some decent guys back. If i was in the front office I would trade as many of them as i could (depending on what we could get) Bedard, Balentin, Lopez, Johjima (and bring up Morse), Batista etc... the only players I would say are untouchables for us are Ichiro, Feliz, and Gutierrez just because of the potential he's shown at the plate and his great glove/arm. Also dustin ackley should be on the field as soon as possible
