We pour too much of our resources into short-term, campaign-driven work, and not nearly enough into planning and building for sustainability. I'd love to hear Margot speak on this – I think that her insightfulness, her creativity, and her years of experience across multiple industries make her exactly the right person to tackle this topic.

Re:

I know that Rachel has years of experience in dealing with metadata, particularly from the perspective of a content strategist, and I would love to hear her give this talk.

Re:

This is SUCH an important topic right now, and Margot addresses it in a solid, elegant way. This talk is at once conceptual AND actionable. There's nothing fluffy or insubstantial about Margot's approach; it's concrete and well-structured, yet incredibly engaging. I can't recommend this talk highly enough. Our industry needs this now.

Re:

They're made of people too, and we don't spend nearly enough time focusing on that.

Re:

Yes, these issues do apply well beyond content strategy, and for the SXSW audience I would certainly broaden my approach. It can only be good for our organizations – and the services and products we create – if we ALL work a little harder at understanding one another's behaviors and motivations.

Re: A line in the sand | Anecdotal evidence

Thanks, Gigi and Kat.

Gigi, I don't know about you, but I think I tend to say yes to things not because I *can't* say no, but because in that moment I truly believe it would be a good idea and that I'll be able to handle it.

Kat, thanks for reading and commenting. I'm so grateful for the interactions that being more open about my struggles has prompted. xx

Re: http://kerryanne.tumblr.com/post/26138276494

Oh Cara, I feel your pain. I have no idea why so many South African twitterers seem to prefer Posterous over Tumblr. I'm really starting to enjoy being here, and only wish I'd started using it sooner - it's like a little scrapbook, which suits my scattered attention style perfectly. It just works.

Re: Bird Comic Master List of Awesomeness

I just made one now, right this very minute:
http://kerryanne.tumblr.com...

Re: The Twitter/Tumblr List

@kerry_anne
http://kerryanne.tumblr.com/
