concur - have always loved visiting the city by the bay but it's not the center, in this day and age nowhere is - that's the beauty, someone can be a telecommuter from conway, sc and still be heard above the fray ;)

nice raising awareness post david, and adriana you've handled the unfortunate situation w/ class...

as for the "goowy team" - (Alex, Gary, Jeremy and Sashi) - first, nice lack of transparency - you blew it initially by defaulting to an "opt-in invite all your contacts spam model" which seems strategically clueless, but then ya'll made the classic mistake of claiming "user error" instead of taking the blame yourselves - not a good way to rebound folks, but obviously based on your about page you've all been a part of a dot-bomb before - so you know the drill, that sound you hear is the air rapidly leaving your bubble ;)

but i think his wife should podcast the games (if allowed) - it needs to be thought of as additional content - not the same as the filtered & edited version that makes it to the 57" screen (playable on ipod video, psp, pc/mac whatever) - behind the scenes, interviews w/ average atheletes, local atheletes, niche content - the stuff huge advertisers don't pony up the big bucks for but is sure to have communities of interest - gotta think outside the tube...

i don't know dave, i think oops is sort of endearing - you are certainly not going to get that sort of error msg out of the folks in redmond no matter how much our friend mr. scoble tries to lighten up and humanize them ;)

hey robert - my take on dave potentially giving up his blog is that he'll be lonely - he uses his blog the way most folks talk to their neighbors, co-workers and friends - he is a nomadic soul, so the blog ends up being his way of staying in touch and connected...

he really shouldn't give that up - maybe he should just blog less and take a break from time to time is all...

i'm actually trying to advocate another option - the extreme geek...

able to snowboard, surf, skate, mountian bike - basically stay active and outdoors while still maintaining good grades and able to get their geek on @ a moments notice...

i know sounds revolutionary but i'll give it a try w/ my two petri-dishes ;)

the both know the answer = 42 so were off to a good start...
