1. Yes, you will receive an email notification when someone purchases an ad space.

2. I'm sorry, but I'm not quite sure what you're asking with this: "How do you get the advertising packages to show up on your advertise page?" I manually wrote up a summary of each package and added them to that page, if that's what you're referring to. Let me know :)

3. I believe you would set up package deals in the custom section, however you may want to contact Simon at OIO as I have no experience with this.

4. All my images were designed specifically for my blog and are not available to copy.

I haven't nor have I heard about that, but then again I've been out of the loop lately with a newborn :). Truth is every plugin you add to your site adds a potential doorway for hackers. That's why using only reputable plugins, updating them with new releases and updating your WP version to the latest release is so important. Thanks for the heads up Flo - I will look into this.

I went from a retail job where I was on my feet all day long - to an office job - to working for myself. I was able to keep some activity in my life with college, but once I graduated, it all went downhill. And now I'm the mother of a newborn, which means I just spent the last year being pregnant. I'm eager to lose all this weight, but I find the lack of energy and time keep me from accomplishing this difficult task. Need the motivation and determination (work tends to use those up).

Based on what I've read recently, landing pages created a while ago still work as the default, but all new pages do not have this option.

I absolutely agree. Unfortunately, they already stopped allowing the customization of landing pages. I found that out last week while creating a new fan page.

"Tabs" are VERY nice to have. They are extremely visible, helping fans to locate further information on your page. They were hard to notice on the new style.

I'm not pleased with these changes so far.The "Welcome" tab for my stores' fan page was important, but now it's lost in the mix of other elements.

Also, I really liked how you could see the faces of other fans, even if they weren't your friends.

Thanks Philemon! I was hit by the economic downturn too as I saw a decline in sales. The experience really taught me the value of not having all my eggs in one basket. It's important to have several sources of income online as you never know when the economy will go south or your particular market will dry up. At the same time, you don't want to spread yourself so thin that none of your businesses are able to reach their full potential. However you choose to make money online, I suggest you "cookie cutter" whatever works and try to repeat it. One of the greatest disadvantages to working for yourself can be the lack of a STABLE and CONSISTENT income. Build several sources of income and you can help minimize the risk. Good luck!

I would say a squeeze page styles site works great for that. Get people to sign up for your email list and then promote your affiliate offers through the follow ups. Be sure to offer value first though :).

I never like to go to the extremes with these things by saying that either PageRank is king or is dead. I believe it still plays a role in search rankings, though certainly not as a big of a role in overall Internet business success as it once did. Fortunately, these tips still offer help for search rankings, even if you disregard PageRank.
