I feel like rule #1 is: KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE.

Would you create a web site tailored to children the same way you'd tailor a site for the elderly? Maybe - large type, large interaction areas. Would you do the same for a college student? Doubtful.

The downfall of this article is it doesn't include any sources to back it up. Having worked on single-page applications, it's not a "one-size fits all scenario" nor does it detract from the experience - the tech doesn't matter, but how the end user sees it, does.

On various sites I have worked on - switching from a traditional e-commerce checkout approach to a SPA architecture saw completion increase to over 30% (which was millions in revenue).

But this article reeks of opinions presented as fact, circling back to DoYouImpress's work, and the examples given in the linked article are two dead apps (okay, not dead, but the article is very "everyone I know" and not "here's actual data to back it up."

Point being - this is another tool in your toolbox. Know your audience, recognize where the work can benefit from a smoother, unified experience. But don't disregard it as a fad.

Re: Building a Recipe Search Site with Angular and Elasticsearch

Phong - that's because you're accessing it locally - you need to have it running on a webserver (i.e. localhost) in order to stop that error.

If you have node setup then you can use http-server. I asked on Facebook. They didn't reply. I've read through several comments - they don't answer anything that isn't something that is written down.

The law has several "may" and "possibly" indicating *it is not a guarantee.* That all means that commission will determine it later. Don't like what the commission determines? Tough shit - it's an amendment, and that's not easy to change.

Where in the written law that it says "there are no limits per area" or clearly define what the requirements are? People assume "I get a license, and the police will not be allowed to knock on my door or verify I'm only growing four plants!" That's not defined or stated. ResponsibleOhio's website says the limit is 4 plants per household, but the amendment does not specify per household. Stores are "similar to liqour stores" but it doesn't mention what a personal grower will be looking at.

The amendment does not legalize *all* marijuana - again, that is not clearly stated in the written law. More than one ounce? Still a crime. It also doesn't state what happens to any past marijuana only criminal offenses.

If it is not clearly defined - then it does not exist. This is not "open to personal interpretation" - that just means "open to future lawsuits because it is not clearly defined."

There are questions, not answers, and people are blindly applying a broad stroke to make them feel better about it. I want it legalized - but *not* as an amendment to benefit a small group of investors and wishy-washy stoners.

Re: Issue 2’s Anti-Monopoly Language Assures Some, Troubles Others

It's an oligopoly, not a monopoly.

Re: Issue 2’s Anti-Monopoly Language Assures Some, Troubles Others

(Technically, I guess it's an oligopoly?)

I have yet to see RO reply when questioned about the licenses. They mention *no* timeframe for applying, what process, what guarantee, or what the requirements are. Is there an appeals process? Is there a limit per township/area?

Everyone ignores the details and acts like they can drop a check for $50 and start growing. Odds are, the seeds would have to come from an Ohio dispensary, so your current illegal grow house doesn't suddenly become legal if you drop $50.

And the argument is "prove it isn't from Ohio" - well, no one says they have to. There are a lot of questions in regards to that, but I'm not seeing answers, just assumptions.

Re: Bernie Sanders Calls for Sweeping Gun Ban That Would Outlaw All Self-Defense Firearms

You're comparing someone's ability to speak intelligently, sans foot in mouth, with someone seeking to buy a weapon that can take life.
