I think that you need to back up your arguments by researching this issue before making such an accusation. Research even shows that cow milk based formulas are not nearly as good as human milk because cow milk is an intestinal irritant and gives most babies intestinal and digestion problems right from the start. I don't see how anyone can argue that anything can be a better substitute for human milk for human babies.

Re: Who's not Breastfeeding Their Babies?

I agree with you all out there that tried to breastfeed and did not succeed. Not every mom will be able to breastfeed and as a matter of fact I know a few that were unable to and it really upset them. The bottom line is that we all should at least TRY to breastfeed our children because of the health benefits and the fact that nature intended us to! Remember it isn't just a choice that we are making for ourselves, this is a choice that we are making for our little human beings. I am pissed off at my mother for not breastfeeding me because she didn't know anything about it, yet she is a registered nurse! Almost everyone that I know that was not breastfed is either upset because of it or have weight, mental health issues, etc because of their mothers' choice. I totally am with pro-choice political views, but when we make a conscious choice as mothers to have bring a little human being into this world, we have an OBLIGATION as mothers to at least try to breastfeed just as we have an obligation to put our children into the safest environments (Example: keep our children in a cigarette smoke free environment, encourage nutritious foods, be loving and patient teachers, use a car seat, etc) Seriously! And J Lo...You make yourself sound so uneducated and so immature by making an unsupported argument "well my mom didn't...so I'm not gonna"...Really!? So sad! I feel so sorry for her babies...

Re: Who's not Breastfeeding Their Babies?

She is so ignorant. Being a celebrity with plenty of money for a comfortable lifestyle and all of the time in the world to spend with her two little ones, you would think that she would give her children the best start a mother could give. It breaks my heart to hear that a mother will refuse to give her children the most important nutrients they will ever get. The fact that her mother didn't breast feed is all the more reason for her to educate herself on why she should break the cycle and do better for her kids! What a shame for her. I'll bet it won't help her health or her figure either. I never really was a fan, but now I'm definitely NOT.
