It's the perfect example of a plug-in loaded, high maintenance site with the same applying to the author ;). I'd love to get rid of Jet Pack but nothing else looks as nice.

Re: A Cloudy Day Out with Bear

I agree with the McDonald's fries. That and a freshly made Filet O Fish, of course. And oh, I might have cried if something got into my garden like that! So very exciting! I miss my kids as babies....such a fun (and tiring) time...and nothing is as tiring as those first few months of being pregnant. My god. We'll be out at a "chain" with the kids and pick about how we could be eating something better for the same price. Spoiled brats that we are ;) I think it's my "cheap" ness too, when you know there's better quality out there, how can you not compare?

Re: Does Your Toddler Bite and How Do You Handle It?

I think that it is recommended that you visit a doctor to rule out any medical issues, such as sore gums, jaws, anything medical that may be happening. It's not unknown for a child to be biting because of an ear infection, believe it or not! Frustration from a physical pain can lead to biting.

Re: Bill My Parents - Are You Kidding Me??

Actually studies have shown how credit and even debit cards give a false impression of money for children and teens. Hands on cash and learning the basics of real banking, deposits and withdrawls of REAL MONEY is what is recommended. This is another false presentation of money, there is no hands on learning, no concept, there is nothing in this to teach real methods of financial responsibility that I can see. Making a list for OTHERS to buy has nothing to do with their money management. Banking their allowance in a real bank and saving for something they want, THAT'S teaching. This is still as obnoxious an idea as it was over a year ago when I first posted it.

Re: Top 30 Safest Sunscreens For Children 2009

I think that SPF 15 is the lowest they recommend for kids, but it's all about the ingredients in them, if something is better rated safety wise and is a 35 SPF I use that instead, or vice versa.

Re: Majority of Parents Will Not Vaccinate Their Children For H1N1

LOL Cori.

We've never been vaccinated for the flu, this year my main concern is what kind of strain I might pick up at the hospital, and just being constantly exposed every time I go in. Door handles, stair railings, when I started thinking of everything I unconsciously touch at the hospital, I kinda freaked in my mind a little ;) Even just GETTING to where I go, without touching anything, I realized how many coughing, sneezing hacking people (who do NOT always practice coughing into their elbows, let me tell you) I pass in the halls etc.

Maybe I'll hit up emerg for some awesome masks and wear those. I'll fit right in.

Anyhooo, I am waiting to see....no matter what this article said, it still seems to be the high risk categories affected, and we aren't in that category.

Re: Childrens Book Review: The Dangerous Alphabet

I published your comment Mick, only to prove a point for people to please read my reviews entirely and to not misquote me please.

*I* myself enjoyed the book, I said it was far too scary for my 5 year old and never wrote that I found it amusing to share with my child.

It's up to other parents to make the choices for their own children, I can only warn them how scary it really is.

Re: Fruit and Curry Chicken Salad

This was so amazing, I cooked a whole chicken, which chopped up made enough for two batches, I am taking it to work tonight for dinner.
