yeah, I've heard that & similar reasons from folks.
Well, 'hype machine' probably wasn't the appropriate word to use.

I do share the same opinion as yours on the matter. My resentment is due to what becomes of my twitter update just moments (or maybe a few days) after I have posted it. How often do we look at our updates from previous months? They're history. They are just burdening the twitter servers.
Ever since I started following more than 100 people, my twitter feed's been a total mess. Chaos. So, I've decided to go on an un-following spree too.

I'm sorry about your MBP getting stolen.
Anyway, I did end up buying a Macbook Pro after all. It was one of the first things I did after coming to the US last FALL (aug 08). And I'm totally in love with my MBP !
