I was worried about this too, but I just read this in the FAQ page:

Q. How do I specify the name that will be inscribed on the back of the card?

A. Each Coin will have the cardholder’s name inscribed on it. We will send instructions on Coin account registration, how to provide the name to inscribe on each Coin, and how to provide your shipping address as we get closer to shipping your device.

So it looks like they already took care of that!

I'm glad they changed this. At first it sounded like a fitting tribute because it brought real-life Cory closer to his character Finn and gave resolution to fans of both at the same time. But now that a few weeks have passed, connecting them might come across as judgmental and the writers using his death as a promotional point. It's nice to see that they are treating this situation respectfully.

Perhaps sales of The Flip have slumped because the camera doesn't fall to pieces every 6 months, and you don't need to keep buying new versions when the original is awesome enough.

Discontinuing this amazing product is a terrible idea. The Flip camera has been a staple for online video producers and for making quick home videos ever since it was released. It has such a solid brand image that most users won't even consider other pocket cameras.

Vloggers everywhere lament the fall of a good friend.

I was writing when I was 12 too and didn't think I'd get published. So you never know what'll happen.
Stick with a story you love. That'll be the one you're proudest of, and the one people will most want to read one day :)

Yes, Richard Curtis is still representing my Bran Hambric children's books. Elana is my YA agent.
As for the book tours, I got really lucky. I actually did two book tours, one for each book. I didn't hire my own publicist, just the one from my publishers. But it's true, they're rare for debut authors. Not sure if I'm going on one for the new book, but I'm sure I'll be heading to some places :)

We have a bit longer. Remember, I've been working on this book for nearly a year now, and that's still hardly the time most books take to write. So there's a lot of steps ahead before you'll see it in a bookstore.

I'm so glad that I can be an inspiration to you and help give the push you need to keep going. I had a goal to be published when I was still a teenager, and that didn't exactly happen. But now I'm glad I got those extra few years to edit and make things the best they could be. There's no rush. People don't become beloved writers because they published their book at a young age -- they get there because they write something worth loving, no matter who they are or how old they were when they finished it. It is not planned as a standalone, it is the beginning of a series. I can't say the length yet.
