The old guard need to move beyond the ’shout at sheep and sheep will follow’ mantra of their heydays. The consumer is much smarter, more discerning and more intolerant of blatant commercial messages thrust at them continuously. This is best articulated by this video:-

In my opinion having a size that is not usual will help to make your business card stand out. Another great idea is business card CD roms. I made some of these for my last profession. Talk about a conversation piece! But pricey at about $1 a piece.

Twitter has essentially peeled off and borrowed a piece of Facebook by identifying and unleashing the full potential of this feature…not that there was anything Facebook could have done about it – it’s unlikely the status update could have been patented.

What is undeniable though, is the level of out of the box integration between products that most people are already using. SharePoint WSS is a perfect add on to many businesses b/c they already own the server OS, the Exchange server, and the user CALs.
