if the stub static page redirects to the "single page application", people will get this last URL in the browser, and that's what they copy-paste, no? (after clicking on the link in FB for example) -- i assume you will use this stub URL just for FB cross-posting? --

Not sure if you would need to do a javascript redirect (window.location.replace) or if a meta tag <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL=http://liveblog.co/users/da..."> is also ignored by FB's Open Graph crawler.

- Unrelated (almost) but just noticed that Marco's BugShot, a very simple tool to annotate iOS screenshots (for bug reports for example) has been removed from the app store :-/ http://www.marco.org/bugshot

- The other Preview hidden feature is the signing tool. it takes a picture of your signature on a piece of paper with the webcam, and you can then sign PDF's easily.

There's the Pepper flash player shipped with Chrome and maintained by the Chrome team. And the Adobe flash player that you probably have installed at some point.

The Pepper one might be more buggy. Take that with a grain of salt, at least that's what i understand :-)

Do you think that a checkin is a poor man tweet ? It takes even less efforts than a tweet (zero characters ! :-D ) but i think a tweet reflects the same behavior (i'm watching this).

I run a French social tv site, and i compute live ratings based on tweets. ( http://devantlatele.com/aud... click on dots to see the corresponding program names)

In fact, there is not much correlation (at least for now) between social tv ratings and oldschool tv ratings. The first mesure engagement of a program, the later raw viewing data (if people are really watching and not multitasking in fact :-) ).

Based on these observations in the recent months, i think these social ratings are complementary, not a replacement.

Each time i read about someone who cannot even stay unconnected during a few hours (wifi in airplanes anyone ?) i think about Pascal's saying (i only know 2 quotes in total don't worry ;-P ) : "All of man’s misfortune comes from one thing, which is not knowing how to sit quietly in a room", which in 2010 could be "All of man’s misfortune comes from one thing, which is not knowing how to sit quietly in a room, unconnected to the internet."

As my 3 years old son always asks for the iPad, I'm getting worried he gets as addicted as his father :-) There definitely are limits to put on i think, the challenge is for the parents themselves to respect them in the first place ;-P eh.
