Sent him a lens, then sent him another lens. The lens was valued at around $700. He reported to Amazon and they said sorry, don't worry about it.

Happened to me when I ordered two air mattresses that were defective. The return/exchange got messed up and to apologize, they gave me a $50 Amazon card for my troubles.

Re: Why Do Photo Contest Winners Look Like Movie Posters?

I for one am with you on this. There is a difference, an important difference, between art and journalism. There are times that the intercede but but matters is original intent.

If I shoot with the intent that the photo be art, edited as such in Photoshop or through the use of special lenses like a LensBaby etc, then it probably shouldn't qualify for a journalistic award.

On the other hand, if I am shooting for the New York Times and the raw photo has the imagery and power to win at "fine art", so be it. I feel that your suggestion of showing the raw file vs the finished file should be considered. Who knows, someone's massively modified photo might still win based at least partially on the photo editing skills.

Re: Dolores Park Playground Parents Now Want A Fence To Keep Out Gays Dogs: SFist

I just loved this post. Not the typical social media marketing flim flam.

At one point I had a Klout score of 69. I went to Klout's headquarters in San Francisco, got my picture taken in front of the real-life magnetic Klout Score sign, had some drinks, had some laughs, made connections.
A week later my Klout score dropped to 52. Nothing else changed in my social life, just my Klout score. Working my way back up (58 right now) but I have a ways to go.

Re: The StartupFlavor Mobile Office Giveaway

Good luck everyone!

Re: Engadget Giveaway: win one of five V-Moda Crossfade M-80 on-ear headphones!

After hearing the VModa Crossfade LP2 headphones, I'm super anxious to hear their bigger brothers!
