I wrote to Linda regarding her article. It's long overdue what chauffeurs are responsible for and how they are compensated. Time clocks will be disputed also. I'd like to hear from other chauffeurs that always have put in one and a half times more than they see compensation for. I would get a 40hr paycheck and had the extra hours/cost not paid for..40 hours = 20 extra hours cheking in, driving to pick-up (15 mins.early),driving back to garage, getting gas,etc not on the clock per se. I'ts a labor of love!!!

Re: Limo Drivers Left In The Desert Dust - Limousine, Charter & Tour

Where do I start? It should have been when LCT changed LCT to Limo, Charter, and Tour.
Professional chauffeurs are going to be drivers, or limo drivers per this article. Chauffeurs are still getting a bad rap! The industry once again is reeling trying to keep rightful wages, without any other benefits at a minimum. (86% of companies offer nothing) Stand by time will always be an issue, you know the 3 or 4 hours between charters without compensation. Will an operator or two please tell me about some benefits and incentives they shower their trained, top DRIVERS or CHAUFFEURS with. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you. John R.
