First repair was within warranty and then again this past summer out of warranty without my original proof of purchase. They fixed and sent back with a quick turnaround, no questions asked even though the 2nd time around it was clearly accidental damage.

Re: Private: Proof that it’s the year of mobile

Agree. I guess some of the best apps will also have the least # of ratings because they are actually staying on iPhones.

Re: FourSquare Is The New Something

You summed it up very well. I don't think it will become "the next Twitter" as Mashable wrote the other day (didn't read the reason why they thought so besides the obvious link bait). Lot's of different location services have come and gone over the past couple of years (Loopt, Brightkite, etc). I'll admit, I moved from one to the other like I've done with shiny new Twitter apps but I think Foursquare will stick around longer than the others. That may change though if Facebook or Google (Latitude) really put a lot of effort into doing it right with proper iPhone and BB support and then get all my non-twitter friends to sign up.

I attended the NY Tech meetup when they launched Foursquare and remember thinking it will get a lot of attention because of the funny badges. The badges along with the mayorship features are a huge part of why some people are obsessed (like # of followers) and they are only one of the ways brands/businesses can also get creative when they decide to get involved.

Re: Seeking A Strong API/Platform Engineer

Was just reading earlier today in Inc. magazine how Etsy hired Mashery (http://www.mashery.com) to help with releasing their API. You're probably aware of them already, but in case you're not..
