In addition, I believe that a series of linked Christian communities, committed to their neighborhoods, could really create alternative economic structures that could shrink the bigness of poverty.

But for whatever reason in our minds there is a separation of church and market that leaves most Christians to simply tithe their 10% and not consider the other 90% and its impact on the larger system that reinforces this generational poverty.

Re: The Opiate Mass

Me likey the black one.

I wonder what it would be like to leave the sketch a bit more rough/clean/less detail. I imagine that would give it a bit more room for interpretation. Leaves me thinking, "perhaps the person on the crane is painting, or is it a wrecking ball, or is he trying to climb into the window, and is that even a church?"

You know what I am saying?

Re: Artists Should Act Like Leaders

8. I leave room for others to interact with my ideas, knowing that the best work comes in community.
9. I eat lots of pizza. At least four slices. All story boards look better with mozzarella grease on them.

Re: Get Off The Floor And Get Back To Work

For me, I would say that whining is an external and physical clue that I need to find something else to do...something that I enjoy more. Or perhaps, as you said, just work harder. Good morning thought.

Re: Let Fear Be Your Indicator

Good reminder. Our girl Wheatley wrote a fantastic article on moving past fear earlier this year. I think that our culture of fear (financially, creatively, etc) is heightened when absent of relationship. Fear festers as we sit on it and keep it to ourselves. I would argue that the only way that fear can be over come (or moved past) is in community. So thanks for bringing this in to your virtual community.

Does this same fear apply to calling me back? :)

http://www.margaretwheatley...

Re: Recommended Reading

Anything by Dave Eggers.
