Have you though about using a GPS? For $100 you can get a basic GPS that will give you Speed/Distance/Maps, Etc.

Jim, the best bet would be to contact your DMV. The information I provided may not be the case in every state and laws can change. When I initially started building this I gathered a lot of info on the internet. Obviously some of that was wrong. This is a learning project to say the least.

Robbie, sorry for your bad experience with Eric and Evelyn. In my case Eric just seemed extremely busy, and Evelyn was a sweetheart. I ordered in late July/Early August 2008 and had mine in 3 weeks. My understanding is he was extremely backlogged and getting married. I hope you were able to resolve the situation.
