I shouldn't have lost my cool. Sorry about that.

Anyway, in response to "carressing DHH's balls like he's the fucking messiah", I don't really use Rails all that often. I'm indifferent about DHH. I really like Sinatra a lot though. I mostly use Ruby for internal stuff that helps us a lot like builds and sysadmin stuff. We still mostly do ASP.NET MVC work for web.

I'm not anti-MS in any way. I've used IronRuby a lot to integrate into our stuff and we have all Windows servers here and I use Windows 7 most often.

I don't consider myself an elitist. I like the Ruby community because they are often very welcoming and helpful.

As for resources for the entry Ruby hobbyist, there are several books that are great if you prefer them over websites. I would suggest Programming Ruby (The Pickaxe Book), The Well-Grounded Rubyist, Best of Ruby Quiz, and Practical Ruby Projects. The only web resource I would add is http://www.railscasts.com/ if you care at all about Rails.

Again, I'm sorry for my outlash. As ridiculous as I think your post was, that was pretty ridiculous for me.

J.R. I hope that's not the case and I'll give you the benefit of doubt, but if it is the case, grow up. You know, looking at the name you used, I'm going to stick with asshat. Screw doubt. You cleared it up for me.

J.R. I'm streaming it in the Silverlight player.

J.R. You always had me laughing. I learned a lot from you too. I hope I'll actually get to meet you face to face one of these days.

J.R.
