You're going to have to go with 1 or the other. Akismet is used with the default Wordpress comments system, and Disqus has it's own anti-spam system.

Disqus really is a great system. I just recently replaced the default Wordpress Comments on my blog (www.moongrabber.com) with Disqus, and the difference is night and day. The extra features of Disqus are also a really great plus, including the comment rating system, and Facebook Connect integration for comments.

Thanks Giannii, just finishing up some custom CSS to integrate Disqus into the look of my blog, so far so good.
