but Trump is saying the ceasefire is on life support. everyone knows that Iran isn't serious about actually negotiating. their terms were ridiculous. and we would never agree. So, if negotiations are on life support then how do you persuade Iran to seriously negotiate? You have to hammer their economy and also hammer them militarily. Through BOMBS> it's a war, right? So how about we actually conduct some warfare.
The way we know that the blockade isn't totally effective is that Iran came to us with their BULLSHIT terms. if ttey were truly hurting they couldn't do that.

Will the blockade EVENTAULLY cause their economy to flatline? Yes, absolutely. But that might take a few more months. So, if the ceasefire has stalled Trump should let loose the dogs of war. Then after they've been bashed around a bit let's see how amenable they are to ACTUAL negotiations. If they still do the rope a dope, then let loose the dogs of war again. Keep doing this until they Arne't coming to the table with fake negotiations.

I'm all for a ceasefire. But on OUR terms.if everyone acknowledges that the ceasefire isn't actually producing the results needed then we need to do the things necessary to force iran to agree to our terms. That means BOMB THE SHIT OUT OF THEM.

no matter what he does his critics will call him SOMETHING. I'm not saying kill civilians. I'm saying take out their remaining military infrastructure. whatever can be bombed DO THAT. take over Kharg island. and make Iran have to use their military to try to defend against that. and while they're defending that take them out. there's no reason we should have all those warships sitting in the Strait not doing ANYTHING.

and what do yo mean by UNNECESSARILY killing civilians. they are negotiating a peace agreement. everyone INCLUDING Trump agree that its going nowhere. So what is the course of action if negotiations fail? Resumption of war.

If Trump acknowledges that negotiations are going nowhere but then does nothing then Iran knows it doesn't have to agree to negotiations. There should be consequences to Iran for wasting our time above and beyond the pain from the blockade.

im ok with the war. I just wish Trump actually did some war. he's not going to get Iran to agree to negotiations unless Iran essentially has zero options. The same way Japan only admitted defeat after getting bombed by two nukes (not saying that nukes are warranted hereof course). So
so the whole negotiation thing is garbage. Trump is doing this because he wants to keep the blockade in place and bleed out their economy. I get that and I agree with that. But how long will that take? thats the problem.
if they refuse to negotiate it means that the devastation to their economy isn't bad enough to get them to come to the table. otherwise they would.
because they have no other options.

If they aren't bleeding out quickly enough why not add a few more holes for the blood to come out of? in other words, blockade is effective. Blockade but additional bombing - even more effective.

Bomb them within an inch of their lives. Bleed out their economy so they have to negotiate from a position of extreme weakness . then arm the Iranians who can then take out the regime which has been severely weakened.

Im' not saying that we need to put boots on the ground per se. Im saying if we're going to force them to give up nukes, devastate their military, destroy their command structure and leadership why then keep them in power? Just remove them entirely. What was suggested was essentially a regime change where the regime gets to stay in power. Everything would be done to Iran Short of a regime change. and if you're doing everything short of that, why stop there?

Besides, I don't have issues with regime changes. I have issues with Nation building. That's where we get into the quagmire.

it was a checkmate in April. its now May 15th and we are still in the exact same position as before. Is that checkmate? Or STALEMATE?
and meanwhile gas is going up and up and up. EVENTUALLY iran will bleed out economically. but how long will that take? a month? its already been a month. Two months? three months? four months? Five Months?
If they wont actually feel enough pain from the blockade for five months then what if we ALSO bombed the shit out of them. would that not also make them feel the pain from bombings? Which would be added to the pain they feel from the blockade. I can't imagine that wouldn't speed up the process.

its not a military quagmire in the sense that its taking years and years. It's a domestic quagmire in the sense that Gas prices have gone up for 13 weeks straight. Trump will have to endure the criticisms that will come his way for NOT doing more to end the war.The blockade is a very effective strategy. it just takes a long time.
and every day that trump doesn't escalate the war by actually conducting war is another day where hte media can say "Gas prices are going up again" and Trumps critics can say "Iran has won becuase Trump is doing nothing.

when is the strategy of blockade and nothing else going to actually produce results? if its going to take 5 more months what can we do in the meantime other than sitting on our asses that might reduce the amount of time before they collapse? How about, bombs? how about military actions. SOMETHING.

I agree that the doomsayers are basically condensing a two month war into an endless quagmire, which is ridiculous. I agree. But there is no reason why Trump can't speed this along by doing more military actions against Iran. Not saying he should end the blockade. but make the process go quicker by blasting the crap out of Iran's capabilities.
Trump himself is saying the agreement is on life support. So why is he doing NOTHING? bomb the shit out of them then say "Now do you want to come to the table to and negotiate?"

My fear is that, while the blockade is effective it will take longer than initially predicted to achieve the result. But because Trump waited so long he gave Iran a longer lifeline than was warranted.

by the way, I was saying Trump should do the full on Regime change. So, it's not me saying I disagree with Trump and that he shouldn't have waged this war. I'm saying, since he waged this war don't go soft now. They aren't negotiating in good faith? Ok. Here are some bombs to get them to see some clarity.

I"m totally in favor of the war against Iran. I've backed Trump for the longest. And I will continue backing him. But C'mon. This is starting to look like inaction on his part. What's wrong with two weeks of military action again?
Trump admitted that iran negotiations are on life support. He should be PUNISHING Iran for wasting our time. By bombing them. Trump needs to speed this along. The blockade is effective and is slowly bleeding their economy dry. However, every day where we are still in this stalemate position is a day where the critics can say gas prices wont go down, that Iran beat Trump and that Turmp is incapable of finishing this war.

I don't understand at this point, why they aren't doing more military and then go back to the blockade.

Maybe the critics are right? maybe Trump is incapable of actually fighting this war.
Having nothing happen week after week allows everyone to bash Trump endlessly. and what if the blockade will actually take longer to destroy their economy than initially estimated? we then wasted time allowing them to rearm themselves and prepare for attacks because we dawdled.

further military action should be used. Not saying that the blockade strategy isn't working. It just needs to be speeded up.
