Aloe Blacc doesn't realize that Taylor pulled her music from Spotify not because she wanted to be paid fairly for it but rather because her label wanted Spotify to restrict the countries it was available in while also restricting 1989 to Spotify's paid subscribers. Spotify is not obligated to change their model, and so did not.

It's a label hissy fit response to not getting their way, not a big statement about a streaming service that has negotiable rates for labels.

How is saying what I mean and doing so on my own blog whoring drama? I am not trying to sell anyone anything. I am not doing it for attention. I am saying what I want to say on my own blog.

How does one "make a big scene" on the internet I wonder? Is speaking your mind on your personal blog now somehow inconveniencing others? Furthermore, the entire purpose to Unfollow Friday is to stir up fresh drama, and being that there is a platform for it I would say that it is more likely that those of you who use it are the drama whores. The distinction being that you want to do it all from the comfort of anonymity so that you are safe from being scrutinized and made a spectacle of like the people listed on this inane hate-blog.
