There are no disadvantage from a enterprise standpoint.

The advantages:
1. Cost effective when it come to adding new staff members to the company.
2. Allows for flexibility
3. Information is secure and backed up.
5. Reduces the need for a server

I could go on and on, but think about it this way Google uses Google Apps so no company is too big to be on the cloud.

Our entire company runs on Google App's - it's great to be able to access documents from anywhere and update my calendar and see what my co-workers are up too.

I don't even miss the outlook interface anymore.
