Yeah, I know it's enough but sometimes I just feel like it isn't. Like...all of the generosity and kindness and all that's been done for me, I feel like there should be something more that I could say or do.

I felt the same when I read it in high school. I read it again only a couple years later and loved it. I've been reading it once or twice a year since.

Indeed, it is Coudersport, PA. And I'm not from here, I'm from some hick town in New York about an hour away, but I bet I know someone that knows the same people you do, and I might even know of them. It is such a small town that I know everyone's life history, who they are related to, etc. I've only been here 7 months....

Thank you for commenting. That sounds lame...If you need to talk and want someone to listen, my e-mail isn't too hard to find. I'm on AIM also, joshanastasia. I know it isn't easy, I've seen and helped a lot of friend's through their rapes or assaults and it wasn't until recently that I realized I was part of the problem as well. A lot of guys don't realize it; if they don't do that sort of thing, it isn't their problem. Anyway, if you want to talk, I'm around usually. Be well.

I'm not entirely convinced that it wasn't her, but she insists that it wasn't. I think I could probably get it out of her eventually. Or if I watched the entire video, I would be able to figure it out myself.

Haha thanks. I guess what I should have said was "When I play now, I sound like shit." If I tried that now, I would make people cry.

I absolutely loved Latin. I took it for five years. I had a lot of fun in that class, and I learned a lot more than I should have, considering we spent more than 3/4 of our class time drawing different mythological creatures on the blackboard.

Hey owens_brittany,

As a teacher, as an English major, as someone who cares where they get their information from, I would suggest NOT using wikihow. A more accurate description of a haiku would be: "a major form of Japanese verse, written in 17 syllables divided into 3 lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables, and employing highly evocative allusions and comparisons, often on the subject of nature or one of the seasons." Please note "often," but not "always," is used.

Traditionally, yes, haikus often contained themes of nature. However, not all haikus are, or were, about nature.

Maybe before you sound off and end up looking like a douchebag, you should just take a moment to think to yourself "will I sound like a douchebag?" In this case, it would have worked out well for you, that is, if you had stopped yourself from even commenting.
