Specifically, we're going to use PHP CodeSniffer in order to help us avoid code smells in our code. Then, we're going to see how to incorporate the WordPress rules into PHP CodeSniffer and hook it up to our IDE of choice."

Sounds like that will be Part 2.

Re: How to Use Pantheon to Set Up and Maintain a Production-Safe WordPress Site

Our agency uses Pantheon and we really dig it. Some clients take some time to adjust to the new workflow, and you give up some freedoms/ability to use some plugins in the live environments - but overall, it makes our DevOps a lot more efficient!

Re: Good and Bad CSS Practices for Beginners

Using utility classes (e.g. .blue) is typically discouraged these days because it can really hamper modularity and future maintenance.

Using explicitly declared, repeated rules can be repetitive for development, but lend a ton of support to maintainability in the future. This along with a BEM type naming system (modular, avoids specificity issues) really help make projects more sustainable over the long run IMO.

Re: Some customers cant use Apples new iPhone Upgrade Program

For what it is worth, the Apple Upgrade program doesn't work with business plans. For ad-driven apps, this also means more impressions, and hopefully, higher revenue.

Re: A Politics of Selflessness

Food for thought, not that this perspective is perfectly correct, but the issue of saving babies' lives is not one wholly based on the legality of abortion: http://www.religiondispatch...

Re: Did Jesus Have a Wife?

I think God can do wonderful things through married people (speaking as a married guy), but from my understanding of Paul's letter to Corinth (1 Cor. 7) aren't we more capable of serving Christ in a single capacity?

I gather from that chapter that we are more able disciples when single, but that marriage is great for those of us who "burn with passion." That would leave me to believe that Christ would probably have not burned with passion, and thus been single as the role model of how we can best serve the Lord.

Just musing aloud here... I don't think it would ruin his divine nature if He was married, but I do think His alleged singleness is lauded by Paul as a strength.

<dc:creator
