BUT with 3 babies under 3, i'm wondering if a holiday is actually a holiday (or just a heck of a lot of trouble being away from the familiarity of home - nappy bins / feeding equipment / etc). And is it social etiquette to take a Nanny on holiday with you?

Re: Choosing a new kitchen

Simply stunning (and clean!) : )

Re: 10 reasons to love being a mum of boys

: ) Boys Rule !!!

Re: What’s your superpower?

I'm a Dad ! And no one has yet answered my queries on Affiliate Product Data Feeds for Joomla (see my post above) - is this the end for me and Joomla???

Common my fellow Joomlites - stop me from defecting to the other side (Wordpress)! Give me some reasons to stay!!!

Cheers

Jonny1975

Re: 5 reasons you should use joomla instead of wordpress

Great Debate and a timely discussion which never seems to go away (and i agree its amazing that such brilliant tools are available open source / free of charge - a huge thanks to the communities that have made this debate possible).

I’ve been a Joomla user for the past approx 4 years (although i wouldn’t say I’m its biggest fan at all, as its always been a bit clunky. But I have recently found that using Safari / Firefox as a browser certainly seems to speed things up a bit and doesn’t crash e.g.) when using IE7 to login to Joomla backend via the frontend when site down for maintenance!!!). And, while I’ve only recently installed my first Wordpress site and not really got my hands dirty yet - I’ve got loads of development / design friends that think Wordpress is so much better than Joomla - but I’m not yet convinced.

Anyway, I’m currently 'at the Rubicon' with regards whether to stick with Joomla or move to Wordpress with regards one specific element, and I’d love to know others opinions. The area I’m referring to is - 'Affiliate product data feeds' and the ease of integration / availability of plug-in (free or paid) for Joomla or Wordpress??? This is the automated feed of affiliate product data (from multiple networks) via CSV +/or XML, with also having the ability to e-retail one’s own products concurrently.

For Joomla, the only plug-ins I’ve found in this area seem to be the 1) Joomlashopbuilder applications (http://joomlashopbuilder.com/) and 2) VM Affiliate (http://extensions.virtuemar... I’ve absolutely no idea how good these tools are, as no-one seems to have reviewed them, and the vendors don’t offer free trial’s : (

Whereas, there seems to be so much more information, integration ability, plug-in and support for 'Affiliate product data feeds' for Wordpress??? Examples include: 1) Digitalquill (http://www.digitalquill.co.... 2) Import CSV Pro (http://www.speedieconsultin... 3) EasyContentUnits (http://www.easycontentunits... & Keith Bonds tutorials (http://www.keithbond.co.uk/... 4) Advice and Scripts from (http://www.zackpreble.com/2...

I am conscious that this debate is about the ‘general’ preference of Joomla v’s Wordpress, but from my perspective it’s fitting to raise the question about this specific topic area, within the general debate.

I do hope this hasn’t went ‘too off track’!

I am really keen to hear others views on this matter.

Cheers
Jonny1975
