LOL, the new update doesn't come with the latest version of Ovi Store!

Aside from that things seem nice so far. Haven't had any dropped calls and things are currently running smoothly. Mind you, after a few weeks we'll see how things run with all my apps re-installed...

I also noticed this improvement with the task manager. I hated having to double tap to bring up the little menu to exit applications etc!

Also, what macdea mentioned about the "sliders" to answer the phone. Not only does the text make more "sense" but the area you can swipe your finger in is now bigger making it easier to swipe too.

I have the issue but am just wondering whether Nokia will still replace the lens cover if I have debranded my phone??

Once the update had been installed I did have to hard reset the phone because the screen just went white and then turned off.

Now on V12! :D

OK well it turns out that you NEED TO CLOSE PC SUITE before trying to use JAF. This wasn't mentioned (that I saw) so you may want to add it in. Also, even with PC Suite closed on my Vista PC it still didn't seem to work. On my XP laptop it worked fine. Now downloading v12 firmware :)

Hi benjezzy, firstly, thanks a lot for taking the time to put together this guide.

I'm having a problem when I try and read the data from my phone in JAF. When the "Production Data Edit" window pops up and I press "Read Values" I don't get any values appear in the boxes.

The Status window behind updates with the last 2 lines in the following text:

JAF version 1.98.62
Detected PKEY: 90009699
Card life counter: 99.99%
P-key nokia module version 01.02
FBUS INTERFACE NOT CONNECTED!!!
USB Cable Driver version: 7.1.17.0
Changing mode...Done!
Detected P-KEY: 90009699
P-key nokia module version 01.02

But nothing else....

I have definitely followed your steps correctly and have tried doing it on both a Windows XP machine and Windows Vista box so I can only imagine it's my phone?? It's a 3 branded handset if that makes any difference?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Just like to say thanks also. Sync isn't as easy to use on the N97 as it was on the N95 so thanks for clearing things up!
