There’s no denying the huge similarity in our designs. We even spelt it the same. Massive coincidence? Yes.
Here’s the back story:

I work for teepay and back in november last year our website was ready for a tshirt to be uploaded to test the system.
howies (we share the office) was frantically putting the finishing touches to their winter catalogue and I could hear all the noise about CMYK etc.
I'm not a designer I had no stock tees and I literally mocked the design up in about 3 minutes.
It’s our beta test tee.
Surprisingly it became quite popular so we printed it and shot some people in it.
In a couple of weeks it'll be cut due to the nature of teepay.

It's been brought to my attention that "CMYK by jonheslop" is rather similar to a design of mine printed by Threadless on October 6th 2008. Please see link below:

It would appear from designer page of "jonheslop" that his 'design' was submitted on October 14th 2008. Please see link below:

October 14th 2008 was six days AFTER my design was first printed on Threadless and roughly five months after my design was first made public for voting on May 27th 2008.

Now it could just be a coincidence on the 'designers' part however I feel that when the dates are taken into consideration, although not a direct copy (and there are many takes on this idea) I'm sure you can see it is mighty similar to my design which is available on Threadless.com.

I'm not sure if you were aware of my design before printing "CMYK by jonheslop" however I feel it is important to point this out to you as copying work doesn't really benefit anyone - apart from it seems Jon Heslop who is making money from it. For myself as an illustrator it's just not a done thing.

I am going to forward this email to Threadless so they are aware of the situation.

It would be great to hear back from you on this and thanks for your time.

ha yeah it is Dual 1.8GHz G5... with 4.5GB of RAM... It's been sitting on
