This article is a fiction. The backflip on bars was done for at least ten years and was performed later in the 70s by Elena Mukhina with a full twist. This is complete bullshit. It was banned because standing on the bar was illegal, not because it was dangerous. Please google the Korbut flip and see that is was performed for at least a decade before it was banned. Garbage from beginning to end.

Actually I found it offensive. I have a whole new perspective on Ryan Murphy after I read his last interview. He has no business writing about gay men. He spends his whole life trying not to live like one. FYI, the TV Producer in Ptown from Bros is based on him. Pompous ass. Name one gay character from AHS that isn’t evil or depraved who actually matters? Why should I write a script for his tired show?

I would have chosen a different topic. The AIDS crisis was more horrifying than anything I just watched. He also took all the joy out of the sexual aspect of living in NYC in the 80s. It felt dangerous and dark and also exciting. This was one dimensional and miserable. FWIW some of us survived.

This was not American Horror Story. This was The Discovery Channel: The AIDS Crisis, how Larry Kramer changed the world. I've never seen such garbage. If you lived through it the first time no need to watch 30 seconds of this. I can't see one thing he added to the truth. Wow, lots of gay guys wind up in graves. Next up. AHS Auschwitz. See Ryan Murphy make the usually humorous Nazis scary.
