Born and raised in Oakland, still live here! Shameful that extremist groups that are always "anti-building" or groups that want to lump all corporate companies as being greedy each time they want to develop anything in Oakland. Let me see, if you build a ballpark of course you want to make money along with winning championship! LOL. I guess improving one's allotment in life constitutes greed! LOL

Oakland needs to build and keep building, the city's instrasturure is decaying; streets need improvements; and the city needs new residents to shop at all our new restaurants. New businesses that open supply new jobs to locals that need to feed their families, it is a win win.

Dave Kaval is a smart leader. The A's could be an economic boom for Laney College and the Peralta System as a whole. This project will be great for the area along with the coming Brooklyn Basin Project, I welcome the beauty, genius and transformation of this part of Oakland, we need it!

People that love Oakland want change! A lot of the fringe groups are always aligned against development, change and anything they feel makes Oakland an international city. Thank you Oakland A's.

I have used Rincentral for about 5 plus years for my real estate business. It took some time to tweak it, make changes and figure out the complexity of the product. However, once you set it up, it works great, it is flexible and can grow with your needs.

No product or company is perfect, but the customer service has been incredible to me for the last 5 years. I actually believe the customer service team is really talented, helpful and smart. Each time, I have called in for help, they have helped me first class.

Ringcentral has a product with many incredible features. Granted some are complex, but that's technology and since they are always trying to innovate they will win some victories and loose some victories. In the end, I'm an entrepreneur, I respect them for trying to go big!

Lott is a very capable and talented businessman. He's not doing this to waste his time nor put his name on something he is not sure will happen. NFL wants the bay area market versus Vegas, so people should just be patient and the let the process work itself out. It is easy to criticize by writing consistently negative statements, but if you understand the development process.......Things Take Time. If the deal is right, Lott and his team will make it happen.

i agree. The Mayor needs to assemble a real task force of talented professionals to creatively find the best solution while not sitting around for another year on this issue. She needs to call Mayor Kevin Johnson to model how he kept the Kings in Sacramento. Oakland leaders never reach out beyond the small size developers they know that have done very small projects at best in Oakland.

There are developers that are smart that would develop on that site, but they'll need a housing component along with office to make it happen. Oakland really needs to force the hands of the A's and possibly tempt the Warriors to stay,I know it sounds crazy but it is real estate, deals can happen when you get smart people in the room that want to make money! :)

Mark Davis seems like a cool dude. If he moves to LA it is because of bad advice. He'd be the king if he stayed in Oakland by building a winner! Be your own trailblazer! SF does not even care if the Warriors move to SF but Oakland East Bay is where the true fan support comes from, but these owners are trying to go the corporate route that's why you have stale stadiums built in Santa Clara that feel like an away game for the niners. Mark Davis just man up and build it in Oakland dude! :) Keep hope alive peeps!

@Joseph Jackson I agree. From a financial standpoint the league will make more money if the Rams return because Kronke has billions. He knows how to develop and build faster. Makes financial sense for the league for at least the Rams to return. I feel Chargers will stay!

Still doable for the City if the right dealmakers get in the room together! Alameda County can't leave the party till they get their tax dollars back! Alameda County can't force Oakland to buy them out...this might seem like a hurdle but it is basic developer issues that can be negotiated.

The experts quoted in the article are not real estate developers nor stadium developers. Kephardt seems like a smart dude, but something tells me he has not put his best deal on the table until he gets more support from the city of Oakland first.

For what it is worth, I am very surprised that no big money people have stepped forward to develop that land that is centrally located. I don't agree with the idea of shopping alone considering Oakland let so many surrounding cities build up retail powerhouses in their respective towns. I still cannot believe the owners of the Warriors want to leave Oakland to be just another SF attraction when they could develop that land in Oakland to become the kings of California sports. They get way more land in Oakland....

Best option for Oakland is to force Lew Wolf(A's Owner) to build somewhere else in Oakland and sit-down to talk to Mark Davis directly to see if he could lobby the NFL to open up those G4 loans thereby bringing more money to his quest of build in Oakland. Oakland should step to pay for infrastructure and other items that normally cities do pay for when development happens.

Kephardt is trying his best! Given he's often criticized by both parties, he's remained resilient. At least he delivered something, he's shown guts. Unfortunately, the city of Oakland seems to be more concerned with the demands of the Oakland A's. I think the best plan would be is to build coliseum city strictly around the Raiders and let the A's build in Jack London Square areas. Mark Davis has not been great but he has not been bad. I do believe he'd like to stay in Oakland because the fan base is awesome. If the Raiders, A's and Warriors all leave Alameda County is still stuck with a wasteland.

Both franchises needs can be met. Heck, they've been sharing the same same house for years, that's a lot of land to develop. All you need is the right minds at work to get it done and motivated city and government officials involved. If Oakland puts all its weight behind the A's there's a good chance he leaves anyways because that's what he wants to do anyway. Mark Davis has always stated he wanted to be here and the other guy hates it here! If you built other Bart stations that would kill the need for some much parking all the time, it wont' destroy people coming because the Giants don't have any fan parking.
