agree. drop down menus suck. More original content. Is there someone there working on building a network and submitting stories to digg/reddit/etc.? Their online advertisement system seems inadequate (or worse, manual).

jax dot com need to be redesigned by someone that knows SEO and realizes the huge impact it can have on the site. They need to figure out how to monitze it better than obtrusive peel-down ads and taking classified ads and porting them to the web. There are newspaper sites and online newspaper sites doing very well. It can be done. Crap, tell me huffpo isn't successful. They're doing it right.

I agree with Janine. It was the same way for me back on Long Island. You pay $ for special green bags for trash, I think they were $1 per bag. All trash had to be put in those bags (except yard waste). You could recycle all you wanted for free - which in turn promoted recycling, and sale of bags generated income for the city.
