So is it the case that sqlite3 doesn't support subqueries, and instead of throwing an error is just returning an empty set instead? Or does it simply have a different syntax for subqueries than mysql does?

I see that using a conditions hash can lead to syntax that isn't portable, but how can you do a subquery in rails agnostically? Does Active Record have some magic up its sleeves that I don't know?

Thanks for the response. (BTW, my "solution" was to just use mysql for the dev environment instead of sqlite3 because mysql gave me the result I wanted, and I'll be using mysql in production anyway.) ;-)

-John

Re: Katy,K - Maybe I should print the Katy Fashions photo to go...

Do it. And if you're web-2.0, you have to use the latest (and lamest) styles. It's a law somewhere.

I'm still right about them sucking, though. :-P

Re: johnreilly - dessert finished

Katy found the recipe somewhere online, I'll see if she can find it again and post it.

It's even tastier than it looks! :-)

-John

Re: johnreilly - getting stuff DONE.

Went looking at some tonight! Didn't bring anything home though, mostly cuz we'd have a difficult time hauling it in the Civic... Thinking of the Weber Genesis E-310. :-)
