While AS may have a better program now (Skypesos are pretty worthless), there is more to it than value and accumulation rate of miles. So long as AS and DL have sort of of partnership I'm sticking with DL. 1) Their network is far larger (depending upon where you go), 2) they have the best domestic onboard product (IMO), and 3) the rare chance I don't get an upgrade there are the extra leg room seats in economy (which AS doesn't have).
I often have to book pretty last minute and whenever I look at an AS seat map a few days before departure I cringe (nothing but middles), at least lately I don't have that experience with DL there's very often a E+ seat open. My comfort and the efficiency of travel far out way the marginal FF differences.

Re: Achieve More, Every Day - Todoist's New Logo & Brand

I agree, the colors are too close. i can't tell what is p2 or p3!!

Re: Comparing the Transferable Points Programs: Partners & More

This is basically my strategy, at least for now, although i do use my grandfathered Citi Forward card for dining and amazon.

I have struggled in the past to find value with MR, but at 1.5x everyday + gas and grocery bonus it is a risk i am willing to take at this point. I also recently from SFO to SEA, as a result, UA is a little less useful to me than it was.

One side benefit to also earning MR is for purchases where i would prefer the protection of my AMEX plat card i dont feel like those MR points are wasted.

Re: Citi Prestige Cardholders – Redeem ThankYou Points For 1.6 Cents Each on American and US Airways Flights

I wonder if this is a limited time offer or a more permeniant change?

Re: What’s in my Wallet: Recent Changes

It's good to see citi TYP coming back into the discussion. I don't know why they are not discussed more. For me, dining is my largest CC spend category (followed by grocery), between the forward card and Amex bcp that's an effective 6% rebate, which can be used to buy cheaper fares (if found), seats which are not capacity bound, and elite/ mileage earning flights.
While I love UR and MR, I don't see them being worth more than 3cents/pt.
depending upon the categories you spend in, TYP can be powerful.

Re: Wunderkit put on death row as 6wunderkinder focuses on Wunderlist 2 — European technology news

I tend to disagree, one of the best features is a native client for almost every platform. Used to use a lot of folders, and now only use them to store apps pending removal (to make sure i dont need them). However, lately I'm finding I'm doing too much swiping and want to go back to some folders. If only iOS made it easier to search for apps.

Re: Fun Friday: Your Mobile Home Screen

Agree. With all the security pressure related to financial services I can not believe an OAuth doesn't exist. Even though I do give Yodlee and CashEdge access it scares me. However, we all know the pace of innovation in financial services is slow.

Out of curiosity, what investment aggregators have you tried? I've been trying a few and haven't found one i really like yet.

Re: Nickel Steamroller - P2P Lending

I figured the verified flag wasn't available in the data. I would be interested to see what the relative performance is between verified and non. Although it may come down to the way LC underwrites.
as for #2, yes. If im trying to find loans which are seeking funding (using "in funding") i would like to filter out ones that are 100% funded (or very close to being funded), obviously stale data will have an impact here.

Re: Nickel Steamroller - P2P Lending

Is there anyway to filter by verified income (yes/no) and amount funded as a % of loan value (eg, exclude those at 100%)

Re: http://blog.johnmilner.com/post/18135539676

Well maybe not all today... but I'm about to go get that lucky #15 right now.

Re: Move to Tumblr or stay on Posterous?

There was no good way to migrate all the old posts so i didnt. What you are able to do is set a RSS feed to import into tumblr (in your settings) and it will pull the last 10 or so posts into tumblr. As both a Fitbit and Zeo user I love the integration of these products into my Runkeeper account. I've found there tends to be one or two best in class products/ services for each niche within the Body API or Human Instrumentation sector. The problem, which Runkeeper appears to be working to solve, is uniting data from the various devices/ services into a tool users can derive real value from. It great to see them develop this concept and look forward to the integration of more tools for the userbase.

Re: Lockers vs Streaming Services

As someone who is just getting into Ex.fm, this is awesome news!

The larger overarching problem for me is the offline access, but that's not a ex.fm issue, that's a streaming vs. local one.

Re: http://bijansabet.com/post/3582628846

That looks awesome. Hopefully the next iPod Nano has BT and is
the same size. I'm still really tempted to try out this setup though.

Re: http://jamessiminoff.com/post/3671902994

I've been curious about the TikTok's. They look cool, but I'm just not sure how well they would function as a watch or ipod. I'll be interested to know your thoughts. Right now i worry the combined device will be less effective then separate. Now it would be cool if the iPod nano had bluetooth 2.1.

Re: The best priority inbox

Google voice is a huge disappointment on the iPhone, the google app is
pretty worthless and it's nowhere are integrated as on Android. That said,
it's still my preferred service. In my case, there is no cell reception (ATT
or VZW) in my office building, so that drives a lot of the necessity.

Inbound calls work just fine. I originate most of my outbound calls from the
google voice chrome extension which is quicker than even the default
contract manager on my iphone. That said, starting a call from the phone
still sucks (which i dont do that often). As for SMS, getting them through
email (with exchange push) is very useable for conversations and I actually
like better than HAVING to use my phone for conversations, and I've found
the Infinite SMS app to be a good substitute for the default SMS app on the
iphone.

Re: The best priority inbox

I Love SaneBox, I first learned about SaneBox on your blog and it's greatly helped me manage the flow of my inbox much better than Gmail's priority inbox has (e.g. http://blog.johnmilner.com/... Stu has done a fantastic job. Everyone should get SaneBox.

I still haven't moved beyond the inbox, in fact I'm managing my SMS's through my inbox using google voice rather than rely on a device (or OS) dependent platform (e.g. SMS or other messaging app that will only run on a handheld). With SaneBox and other gmail organizational filters and labels I'm able to keep my inbox manageable and the sole hub of nearly all my communications.

Re: http://bryce.vc/post/2955472550

I commend the team for having the foresight and making this decision and to focus on the value added subscriptions. As an avid Runkeper user I am looking forward to greater integration with other data services (I have too many human instrumentation services that do not talk to each other which is just stupid) and further development of the additional data gathering tools (would love to see the ability to capture my heart rate data on a manual/ treadmill exercise without creating a GPS run, it is winter now)
