"Immersive" is in degrees, being more with less background noise. That said, I chose the word because, for example, of the listening experience when washing dishes, where water runs and dinnerware and pots clank. Sure, I hear these things but the music is so present and spatial they're not distractions.

Placebo effect then? Because I do hear a difference. "By design" would be right, then. More likely: Difference I hear is simply aptX, which perhaps Android isn't choosing by default. I change both settings simultaneously, and the difference is pronounced (after playback stops and must be restarted).

The ones I quickly remember: A Simple Favor; A Star is Born; Equalizer 2; Mission Impossible Fallout; Ocean's 8; Peppermint; Skyscraper; and The Meg. During the renewal, just two so far: Girl in the Spider's Web and Widows.

Number per month isn't the issue. A-List is a great value, as I said in the story. But the value hinges on the movie-going experience, and I expected more from the films. Most in this list were too predictable. Strangely, I found A Star is Born to be the most entertaining, despite following a well-known storyline.

I'm as much dumbfounded by the internal Google Store workflow for resolving a situation like this as I am the distribution errors.

I was a staff reporter for Computer Reseller News during the WinTel era and wonder about Ingram Micro, too.

No implicit accusation is made, other than to call "suspicious" the disappearing email. It's the only exchange with Google Store support staff to vanish that I am aware, so there is no pattern here.

My surprise came from there being nothing in the Sent folder, as I would expect even if an email had been accidentally deleted from the inbox.

Droid is Snapdragon 820; 4GB RAM; 1440p; 21MP camera; shatter-resistant glass.

It's all about what matters more to you vs price.

I experienced exactly same situation. Fast bleed just from Safari. My wife doesn't have that problem following restore, and that's mostly what she does.

That's the optimal, default resolution set for the screen. Maximum, as the story states, is 2880 by 1800.

My laughing is at IDC. My point in the last two paragraphs easily could apply to Windows Phone. The market is still too volatile to predict. Four years is forever in a frats-changing market. I wouldn't bet against Windows Phone rising from the grave to haunt Android or iOS.

My past reporting about Apple stands, and I will likely write a fresh analysis looking at Apple's China problem.

As for this analysis, if you look at my reporting over two decades, you will see that I often take the contrary point of view, particularly when seeing an echo chamber of like-reporting about a topic raging across the Internet. In this instance, obsession about the quarterly decline is ridiculously myopic. Since I posted, other techs announced earnings. Apple revenue topped Alphabet, Facebook, Microsooft, and PayPal combined.

Meanwhile, also precipitating the analysis, there is Apple's poor perception management during the conference call, which demonstrates little leadership from Tim Cook where the company needs it. Far more troublesome, I suspect he misread China and Apple over-developed its presence there. That's a question I will ask of experts with better understanding about cultural sales and international markets.

What I like about Google has little to do with this story or any other.

Battery drain is the keyboard. I can watch movies and get great battery life, even with the Smart Keyboard attached. But once I start tapping keys...

I use it as I would any tablet: On battery. Plugged in is a bit inconvenient, where the Lightning Connector attaches.
