That site at the Seattlest led me on to some even cooler sites.
Have you seen this? http://www.toppotdoughnuts.... It's worth a stop just to see a great use of Flash.

Isabelle, I appreciate the feedback. I've been a big fan of Scrabulous from day 1. I usually have several games going at once. Honestly though, my play is really off some days. Ha.

Sandie, thank you for weighing in. Those games can be a major time vacuum. For me is to play just once each day to take my turns. I've been dropping other applications and groups though on Facebook to trim back the gunk.

Actually Patrick, that's urban legend. More common is really static. Just watched a video of a woman triggering a fire from static electricity. She'd started the pump, got in/out of her car, wearing sweater. Touched the nozzle and bam, fire.

Yes, the little chat boats going by in the time stream can be
overwhelming. I've decided that if when I check the responses if it's
not on my screen, I don't see it. You can always change to just
showing your own if you want to see replies to chats you've started.

The @ thing works just like it does in Twitter. If I @mousewords,
then in the text it shows up a link to your profile. It doesn't
appear though that the person on the other end of the @name gets a
message or alert of any sort. Kinda useless for making sure they see
it. However, it does show up in their timeline if they are following
you. It would draw my attention. :)

My thought is that'd be the next logical step to absorb or ignore the
markers, such as **.

Great share. Stuff like this is way too common and all too often folks buy it hook, line and sinker. Glad you shared this and in so much detail. I've received similar posts and just dismissed them thankfully. Been playing that game since the early 90s on BBSs sadly.

To answer you kaabbott, I'm providing a quote from the game's help.

The Scramble Dictionary
Scramble uses the Tournament Word List (TWL) Scrabble dictionary. The
TWL Scrabble Dictionary is used in tournament Scrabble in the USA,
Canada, Thailand and Israel. It is based on the Official Scrabble
Players Dictionary with small modifications to make it more suitable
for tournament play.

What that means unfortunately is a goodly portion of the English
language, as used in the United States, is not available. It also
means that uncommon or European English words are included.

i do appreciate the Seize the Night heads up. I'd heard a few folks recommend it.

I like books with continuing characters, so I might pick up Fear Nothing.

It's weird that I never followed his work until recently. What got me hooked was the Frankenstein books though.

I've read lots of Stephen King in my time. Read some of his earliest work and some of his more recent stuff as well. Almost always a good time there.
I'm looking to explore some other authors in that genre.
