It's hard to move on from a community like Joomla. I try to explain to people how an open-source project can be so much more than code, but it's really something you have to experience firsthand.

Thank you for all of your work and contributions to the project, Jon. There is life after Joomla, and you'll still have friends both in and out of the community.

For what it's worth though, there's still a pile of leaves in my front yard right now...

I saw it yesterday as well and enjoyed it. I'm not a huge fan of "based on a true story" movies, but this one went pretty well. And Meryl Steep did make a *very* convincing Julia!

I wouldn't be too cheeky about being an OS X or even a Linux user. There is all sorts of nastiness you can do with JavaScript if you can just get someone to visit your site.

Yeah, the detached menubar originally turned me off to Macs, but I like it now. If you're used to Windows Explorer, getting used to Finder is interesting. And one comment there: Finder does not have the "merge folder" function (if you know what I'm talking about). If you try to do a file merge, it will ask you if you want to replace the folders... if you say "yes" it WILL replace the folders entirely! I learned this the hard way when doing some Joomla! patches over a network share.

And I don't have an iPhone because I can't get AT&T reception in my apartment. What's the use of a phone if you can't make, well, phone calls on it! I'm hoping that Apple's contract with AT&T runs out here in the States so that it's available with other carriers.

That said, it looks like the JoomlaPraise guys did a nice job on this app. If I had an iPhone, I'd definitely get pick up a copy.

The PHP 5 one is a doozy. A LOT of hosts are offering PHP 5 as an option, but not being 100% clear that you have to go and turn it on. I have people installing the Podcast Suite and swearing up and down that their host has PHP 5. Then they find out that it's not turned on.
