I am so excited about this facebook course and where it will lead me. Hopefully around the world, with the information you gave us on facebook, it looks like we can be in outer space in no time. who knew it would grow to this size, I am ready to play. thanks for making this course!

Re: When the conversation turns to business….

After teaching our bookclub listeners about social media, I can see where some get that aha moment I remembered when I was introduced to you, Simon. You had so much information that you were giving out and it was all valuable information. so i kept reading and reading and reading and then one day I took action. My aha day, why am I just reading, I need to be doing this to! I was watching the game and now I needed to get in the game and play. This has been great to play and learn with you. Who knew it would be fun to build a business on the internet?

Re: Credit where credit is due…

I have to agree with karin on conversational marketing. Until learning this technique for social marketing I hated to sell. As you mentioned, spamming is an unacceptable method to promote a product. Whereas developing solid relationships built on trust and value will create sales beyond numbers we didn't anticipate. So, simon, thank-you.

Re: When the conversation turns to business….

As I have mentioned, going thru this course was an eye opener to another world of marketing. I am listening to you Simon and have learned to "listen" to the conversations that take place on my social media platforms. Those that purchase the book was have a greater in site into what marketing is all about in today's world.

Re: Why listen to me?

You have truly mastered the art of management without anyone knowing it. it is born out of leaders leading leaders. I am grateful to be in this group of leaders. This is an amazing story to pass on those that just don't get it.

Re: “Social Traffic”, code of ethics

I am enjoying the Social Traffic fan page, I see here where all those rules are implemented. Without the rules; all we would be doing is making noise. We would look like India's roads! total chaos! Nothing would get done, it would all become a mess. We are reared with rules to follow, and some are meant to be broken in order to grow but simple rules to keep order are necessary.

Re: The quality of what you do…

The message sent in this posting is very moving to me because I have noticed that since I started following Simon, reading his book, taking his course, I have created on-line relationships. I now look book and see what I have done by implementing the mindset of growing a network on-line. This is beautiful, it is up to us to show our true colors and then the colors will blend. I hope to make many more on-line friends. soon I maybe able to travel the world and know no strangers.

Re: If you were a corporation, what’s your stock worth?

I have never thought of comparing people in my circle or company to stocks in the market. however it is stated that in a company only 20% of the people do the work while 80% just hang in for the paycheck. However, if this is done on-line such as facebook, those 80% can make noise but they will be overlooked. My mind is racing with thoughts on the subject you bring up: trust and quality vs quantity. Having quality people following us to promote us is much better than dragging tons of people on our pages. I can't wait to share this with my trusted friends.

Re: Where are we heading now?

The world has shrunk with the web advancing to connect all of us while the humans attempt to understand how to control it. However as Simon has put it, the web is now our backyard for us to reach out to those we want while some people don't care who they connect to but want to be "heard", even though no one is listening. Kevin Kelly brings out the important points of the web. There is so much to learn and grasp but we need to remember that we are only human and we need to make this a great message by offering simon's courses to our "friends" so we can gain the most from the web and not be lost in the vast information given to us on our computers.

Re: Just To Recap A Few Important Points From The Book

Yes, these points are important however, every chapter in the book is important and this list is just a sneak peak at the book. so many points are made in this book that I can't wait to see what you have in store for the face book course. the social traffic e-book is a bible for social media learning how to make a master plan to promote your brand/self/image and mainly your event. thanks simon

Re: Twitter Tips | How To Find Whatever You Need Without Using Twitter Tools, Fools or Automation Software

What great information to learn about twitter. Just putting a name means someone is just searching for information however, if they want to find out where they are or what they have to offer they will add another word into their search making it more specific. Start planning for the event ahead of time with the right keywords to promote the special event is very important in the overall strategy

Re: Event Launch Guidelines

Some people have a system in place to launch their event however, when utilizing the internet to promote the event is a new program. Getting ahead of the game to make sure we stay ahead of our market can work with a good planning and keyword research. It's all a bit of gorilla marketing. With this much planning ahead, our lives would be a lot easier to work on more important details in our business.

Re: 5.2.3- Final Launch Countdown – cash management

Money management is a huge reason why a lot of businesses fail. they only see the end dollar and do not realize the amount of money is required to make an event happen. this is the area most people fail because they don't like it, don't want or know how to deal with it, but with this information and great sites to manage the money then one can show the amount of money that was actually brought in. thanks for those sites. I plan to use a few of them

Re: How Is This Relevant To You?

who would have thought that the social media tools could be more than just a social event but also be used for business. this is great suggestion on the use of keywords not just for web pages but in all media tools.
