"Unfriend" being the word of the year really reflects the incredible invasion of the language (and indeed culture) by technology. Was last year's verb "to Google"?? Great vid. ( Lavender is your color, Amanda....soft, beautiful, yet somewhat uncommon.)

Re: Best of SD ’09 – A Penny For Your Thoughts

It's kind of like watching out-takes to hear the back story on these episodes. Strong technology to be sure.

Re: The Future of Communication Is Lifesize & HD

That was unbelievable. Really. " tele-presence" makes it feel like you're in a conference room together...has a lot more stature than your basic Skype. I'm sure there will be a great future there. And you're right...the important people will sit in the front.

Re: Do you believe in the power of positive thinking?

"the power of the tongue"...so true. I work in a large group of people. All it takes is one negative tongue flapping at will to poision the well. luckily, we've all worked together so long, we kind of see it coming, which mitigates the damage.

I do believe that thought is a force which radiates both inward and away from the thinker, with considerable influence in both directions..

Re: Can’t Motorists & Cyclists Just Get Along?

I feel homeowner's rage every time a pack of unspeakably loud motorcycles roar past my house on a beautiful day. Honestly, it's deafening, and completely unnecessary for motorcycles to be that loud. There was an argument promulgated by motorcyclists that the noise is for their personal safety. From what I've read on the subject, I'm pretty sure the noise is for their personal enjoyment, all the while ruining the peaceful enjoyment of residents along the way (and miles in every direction!).

Re: It’s International Drum Month – An SD Holiday Special

Wait, wasn't that the SD Transmogrifier in the backround there??
