I get your point, makes sense. Whatever happened to "there is no such thing as bad publicity" though? I say that with slight sarcasm, but musical taste is so personal. I haven't heard this album yet, but it might be a 4.5 to myself, and a 2.0 to someone else. Point is, seems like a benefit, even at a critical 3.0 as this review concluded. You may give a similarly critical review over at NCS, but I still feel like it would benefit the band / label with exposure, etc.

Necropanther is my #1 thrash album of the year, and will be in my top 10 for the year. See my reply above to Wayne, check out the band Hurmanjuoksu. Definitely rooted in thrash and pretty good stuff.

I'm not 100% sure this is 100% thrash, but check out Hurmanjuoksu - Missä villit olennot elävät. I think if you like Alien Weaponry you will like this. In my opinion this is better than Alien Weaponry, far more variety throughout.

As far as quality thrash this year, I still think Necropanther - Eyes of Blue Light has enough thrash influence to possibly be a top thrash album of 2018. Regardless of genre tags it will be a 2018 top 10 for me.

I love that Imperialist album. Mutilated by Zombies - Scripts of Anquish would probably be on my list too. It's tough to choose with so many good albums though.
