Yes, I noticed this as well. Asus does not include this information in the release notes. What a shame.

I no longer have my eee pc, but I hope you are alright now after enabling the wifi.

I'm in the habit of collecting laptops and then giving them to loved ones. Unless I think the laptop is really neat. That HP looks neat. This could be an issue.

I agree with TonyWestover. The bad parts of Dover place a shadow over the good ones. The new, cheap developments are attractive to those you'd never want to live with. The police frequent the "luxury apartments" on a daily basis for drug offenses and domestic disputes.

I will not have access to my eepc 901 for the next few days, and it has not been updated in a while, so the compiled driver may not be compatible with your software.

If you can explain the problem you are having compiling it, I can try to help, or point you to documents on fixing your issues.

the moment I read the headline I was like "disqus, disqus, pleaseeee let it be disqus," but I didn't let myself get my hopes up. Then BOOM, there it was. I can't help but point out that 14 year old girls were using disqus for their puppy blogs 2 years ago, but that's just tough love. And I do love Engadget. Don't listen to gizmodo. She's lying. My mouse was on the fritz when I clicked her links. Honest!

so if you downloaded the archive, in the top directory of the extracted content, you should have done "sudo make && make install."

often, the install part fails, which is why I gave directions for placing the driver.

Once the make is complete (takes a while), navigate to the os/linux directory inside the directory that was created when you extracted the archive.
That's where the .ko file should be if the make was successful.

so then you move or copy that .ko file into /lib/modules/<kernel_you_are_using>/drivers/staging/rt2860

and make sure that "rt2860sta" (not in quotes) is included in your /etc/modules file.

then do a "sudo modprobe rt2860sta," and you should be in business.

I only approve of this if the cops start patrolling the CT highways keeping the motorists from cruising at 45 in the left lane and/or "rafting" at that speed when the posted limit is 65.

For an NH driver going down to Madison, these are very frustrating drivers to deal with!

I'm guessing this will be as entertaining as it was for all of us who went there on school trips.
